How to fix SEO issues
I’m relatively new to the world of website building. This has led to undue stress over how to fix SEO issues.
I realized I needed to research the topic a bit more.
What I found is that all the tip-top pros basically say the same thing (and what is taught here at Wealthy Affiliate):
Create quality content.
Boring, right?
I wasn't exactly looking to be told what I already knew.
But at the same time, it drove the point home.
All the stress or freak-out about SEO is completely unnecessary.
At least, at first.
Before you can even do the later steps of SEO (social media and backlinks), you need to have HIGH QUALITY CONTENT with intelligent keywords or keyword phrases (or not, doing too much of that can result in over-SEO if you focus too much on keywords).
Nothing else matters until you have this accomplished content in high volume.
I know that many reading this already have this emblazoned in their mind.
But for anyone new, stop stressing out about SEO! By adding solid content, you are doing more than any SEO expert offering their services could do for you (at least while your site is in its baby stages).
Those are my thoughts.

Hey Sam, I can't disagree with you here my friend.
Many worry, and spend a lot of precious time trying to get their SEO scores to 95+ on every piece of content they have written.
If what we write is original and offers our readers what our competitors can't, then that is a much better use of our time. Any SEO score of 70+ is a good result in my opinion.

Thank you for raising the most important SEO factor. As you say, many people talk about the need to create quality content, including (especially) Google themselves. Very few define what they mean by quality.
Many people assume that writing perfectly (great spelling and grammar) represents quality. Although good spelling and grammar make an article easier to read, there are a couple of more important aspects which are typically not measured by SEO tools.
Readability in a post largely comes from laying out the content well; short sentences, short paragraphs and logical order of contents.
The most important factor is what Google call "user intent". This means understanding the user's meaning of a search query. To be ranked highly by Google it is essential when writing based on keywords to make sure that understanding what the user was looking for is accurate and answered as fully as possible.

Richard! Thank you. I appreciate you adding all those caveats. It's true. People get all worried about syntax and grammatical perfection when really the majority of bloggers just talk and say whatever comes to mind conversationally. Thanks for your input. L, Sam
