Here's to week one!
Hey everyone :)
This is my very first blog post at WA! I've just got my site set up (kind of, theres still a long way to go) and I actually cant beleive Ive done it! YEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
When I first tried to do this 3 years ago, I gave up within 1 week, because I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. But now that I have found WA, I am actually, for real, no joke, learning how to build my own website from scratch. Like, wow!
I've been a member for about a week now, and have so far found the training fantastic! It's easy to follow and understand and never goes for too long so you dont get bored and distracted (a big thing for my wandering eyes haha)
It's actually quite astonishing what you can learn in such a small amount of time. Ive built my website, added my my base content pages, and published one post. It's small, but its a start!
Ive got so many ideas flowing for my posts, and I'm looking forward to getting them onto my site.
I have been having a little bit of difficulty with the wordpress platform, like trying to customize my site, which has been quite frustrating at times, but you can just about find all the answers you need within this platform.
At the moment I'm just trying to finish customzing my site to the way I want it, so then I can continue focusing on my content and the rest of the training. Are you also one of those people who needs things to look right before moving on? I sure am!
I think the best part of this platform is the community. You are all such great people!!! Thank you to everyone who has helped or answered any of my questions so far.
I have to admit though, I havent been as involved in the community as I'd like to be, purely because my entire focus right now is getting my website up and running, but I PROMISE once that has happened, I will dive into this commnity head first, and cannot wait to network with more of you :)
Well that's enough for now, just wanted to give you a progress report and my thoughts after week one!
