Canadian Geese And The Beauty Of Teamwork

Ever wonder why it seems tough to start down a long difficult journey by yourself? Why does it seem so much easier when you have friends to cheer you on or stay with you during rough spots? Canadian Geese have one up on us humans in this area, and we could learn a lot from them and their amazing concepts of teamwork!

When geese migrate or travel any long difficult journey, they fly in a V formation. This helps them in many aspects. Each goose flies slightly above the one behind them, and creates an updraft or aerodynamic quality which propels the whole flock. The geese conserve energy and fly further distances as a whole that any of them could fly alone. The head goose leads the group while the others "honk" to encourage him. When the lead tires out, he just falls back into formation and another lead takes over! If a goose is injured or tired, two other geese automatically fly down to stay with him until he recovers!

I often use this analogy with my circle of friends. When my friend passes through rough territory, I can be take the lead spot, knowing they will take over in return. Humans are not designed to fly alone in life. Knowing the flock is behind you, cheering you on and willing to stay with you is a very comforting thought!

Here at Wealthy Affiliates we have a shared goal of financial freedom, and are blessed to have many like minded friends to honk and encourage us!

Take the lead for someone that needs extra encouragement and the whole flock will benefit as well!

Keep Flying Forward!

Hi there. I had a video of the Canadian geese which showed exactly what you have described here. I know this may sound odd but I used to teach teamwork and customer service and this video was a great way of getting across the teamwork idea, It was a great video as well. Absolutely agree with your analogy here -well done.

Hudson.

I thought I was the only one who watches birds fly during migration season. It's just instinct for them, it's amazing. I love the analogy you put forth here. Thanks

Thanks for reading Ashley! Keep watching and fly towards your dream!
