I am a structural steel CAD drafter looking to better myself. I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and have even contracted my own construction jobs years ago. Looking toward learning all I can on starting an online business and to hopefully soon start working toward that goal. Long term goal is to not only create a six figure self sustaining business but to be able to use a portion of those funds to give back to the community by creating a second chance program for people who are going through tough times.

Great goals Aaron,

The first step to achieving success online is to set some goals and now that you have done this you can start working towards them. Your goals are absolutely achievable and realistic. Dedicate yourself to working through the training, taking action, and getting help when you need it.

I am personally here to help you and there are many others within the community that will reach out to help too.

You are already doing great, keep it up!

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)
Yes, I was having trouble with niche ideas. Well also I am at work and was doing the lessons during my lunch break. But I was thinking of doing something along the lines of healthy cooking. I actually am a pretty healthy person. I go to the gym around 3-5 days and enjoy lifting weights but I have always had a problem eating healthier. So I've been doing alot of home cooked meals and smoothies since fitness is always an interest with me. Though I know that there is a market for weight management I feel as if the competition is too high for me to try and jump into it.

I was also thinking maybe car sales. It seems that car selling is moving more toward being online and I feel as if there may be a chance to get in. I know a little about cars but I have this addiction at looking at new vehicles as if I can afford them. I was thinking if there is a way to make an affiliate search engines to get in contact with dealers.

Though those are my two ideas for right now I'm still contemplating it because I know me and if I put my all into something and it takes too long for me to see a return I get uninterested. Very bad habit I'm trying to shake but its just how I am.

I am trying to give more thought about what I'm passionate about but since I kinda threw away passions for a career it's hard for me to even try and relate to the things that I used to be passionate about.

I think the main thing I've looked into over the last year would be fitness and making passive income.

Any thoughts or comments would be helpful.

Also this actually isn't my first attempt at a niche marketing business. I ended up giving up last time due to work and not having enough resources and time.

All niches have a ton of opportunity within them. There are 3.75 BILLION people online and we are all now more connected than ever. This is the audience you are dealing with the Internet and even some of the most obscure niches have millions of people interested in them.

You should read about this here within a blog post I recently created on this exactly topic: YOU make a niche profitable and that is why it is important that you decide on a niche that you are interested in/passionate about. It will make the journey that much more fun and exciting. ;)
Hey Kyle I was wondering if people have actually made any money off of the free domain Site Rubix. It seems like it would be good practice to get started yet to go the extra step wouldn't it be better just to register a domain for the 15.99 a year. Also if I created a website using the site rubix domain could I later transfer the webpage to a domain I buy at a later time? I am pretty caught up on the idea of having my own website and thanks to looking around on this site I have a direction. I just don't want to start pouring my heart and soul into something that I eventually have to redo so I can have a more personal domain name.
Also I was wondering is there a way to help the community members rank up? Like if there was a way to give the community your website so they can visit it so the rank would go up. Also get feedback on how the site looks and ideas on how to generate more income or affiliate product recommendations.

That wont' make your website rank go up.

Not every page or post you write will rank and definitely with a new website, not everything will get indexed and rank right away.

Typically around the 3 month mark is when you will start to experience a big breakthrough in terms of search engine penetration Aaron. Posts that you have done up to that point will start to rank, move up the search results, and you will start to strike the 1st page of Google with lots of your content.

Don't panic here and don't fixate too much on rankings at this point in the game, they will happen. :)
Understandable, I am just a very impatient person when I get excited about certain things. Running my own business, especially something like this is very exciting to me. I also have an idea on a new niche which if you read my bio is something that I have wanted to do my whole life. I am going to be going premium most likely tomorrow or the next week. Depends on when I buy this laptop from my coworker.
