How Important Are the AOISEO Scores You Might See When Your Pages or Posts TitlesMETA Descriptions A
I would venture to say quite important. Page/Post Titles should be close to 60 characters, but no more. The closer to 60 characters, the better.
Page/Post META Descriptions should be close to 160 characters, but no more. The closer to 160 characters, the better.
There are member tutorials, blogs and videos explaining the the importance of quality page/post titles as well as quality page/post META descriptions.
Simply go to the SEARCH Spyclass icon at the top of this page, click and enter Meta Descriptions in the search bar.
My image shows that my AIOSEO score are consistently in the 90's and this absolutely helps with the placement of your pages/posts in the search engines.
Yellow scores indicate improvement is needed - Green scores indicate you are in good shape for search optimization.
This is not a topic to overlook!

This is just my opinion, but I believe that, compared to lengthy and quality content, plus good keyword density they are of almost zero importance. They might affect how your post appears in a Google search but not the actual ranking.
A very good score is between 60 and 80. For best results, you should aim for 70 and above.. These are just guidelines, however it should not replace quality content however both can be achieved.

It is a debatable subject.
Vitaliy's expertise and opinions should be valued, but not taken as "Gospel" so to speak. There are others in the business that will place a good deal of importance on the AIOSEO scores.
I personally have had great success in the placement of my pages and I believe that ties in with my scores.

Even though Google only uses about 30 - 40% of meta descriptions provided, I still believe they are important. I would rather have my description listed than Googles. Doesn’t always happen though. I’m up in the high 90,s and have still had meta descriptions changed.
All it does is provide Google and the reader with a description of your content.
