Has Anyone Tried Rumble Yet?

I hope you are all doing well and business is good, I haven't been around on this great platform lately due to various ongoing projects.

I was wondering if anyone has tried "rumble" yet? In case you don't know, rumble is a video platform, many people who are on YouTube are moving to rumble. Apparently, many people are being banned from YouTube if they don't go with the YouTube/Google narrative. Especially if the content is political.

Five months ago I wrote a blog post about Parler or Twitter, you can see the post below.

I believe that "Rumble" is quite new, however it does appear that people are trying this platform out, especially if your niche is political.

Six months plus ago I signed up to Parler, it appears to be growing rapidly. Just a few Sundays ago, allegedly Parler gained 2 million followers in one day. I wonder if "Rumble" may be the same.

It would be interesting to hear what your thoughts are on the subject.

Thank you for reading.

I've seen Rumble around and have read some posts but haven't signed up for it. Parler and MeWe (FB alternative) are both increasing members rapidly.

Good morning Debbi,

I hope you're doing well, thank you for taking the time to comment, it's appreciated.

I believe that in the last few weeks Rumble has grown considerably, a bit like Parler, as you mention. I must admit I haven't heard of MeWe, that sounds interesting! The only problem is how many platforms can we actually be effective on!

It's a shame many of the platforms are restricting free speech, I appreciate that bad language, pornography et cetera on platforms is not good. However, having a good old-fashioned debate should be allowed whatever your views as most people have something good to offer.

Wishing you a great Sunday.

Roy

MeWe is to FB as Parler is to Twitter.

Unfortunately people don't know HOW to debate anymore. When you sit behind a computer, you become brave enough to say anything even something that you'd never say to a person's face. It's sad really how awful people have become. If you haven't seen the documentary on Netflix called Social Dillemma, you should. It's an eye opener.

There was a wave of people who all decided to leave Twitter and FB on Nov 13 or 15. I saw it but don't always follow a crowd so I didn't pay much attention. I have seen more and more about Rumble. You're right though.....how far do we stretch.

Hi Roy,

I haven't heard of Rumble before. It sounds like a great alternative to Youtube- similar as Parler is to Twitter. I’ve heard of Parler- I know they’ve had more users recently join the platform. Probably because of the outcome of the recent elections in the U.S.

I’ll take a look. It’s good to get some alternatives, as I’m aware of issues sharing content on Youtube and Twitter.

Thanks for sharing- all the best,

-Eric

Good morning Eric,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my blog post, it's appreciated.

I know of quite a few people who are changing to Rumble from YouTube. I think many people are concerned about being banned from YouTube, especially if there content is political, as you mention.

I think it's good to have free speech, I appreciate that platforms need to be careful. However, it's not good to have platforms that only want their narrative, that is not free speech.

Wishing you a great Sunday.

Roy

Never heard of it will check it out😎👌

Good morning John,

Thank you for responding to my blog post.

It looks like Rumble has been around a few years although I believe it's only just started getting popular. Let's see what happens, it may be worth a try.

Wishing you a great Sunday.

Roy

Never herd of Rumble, Roy, so thank you for sharing and the heads up.

It is good to see some competition in the market place.

Thank you, Alex, I must admit that I hadn't heard of Rumble until a few weeks ago.

I hear you, it is good to have competition as we never know how things are going to change. Especially if a platform decides it doesn't want to entertain our particular niche.

Out of interest I just looked up to see how old Rumble is, I thought it was new! I see in their archives they have posts going back to 2013! I guess it suddenly came to light as people are looking for other platforms where they are free to publish what they want to.

Have a great day Alex and thank you for commenting.

I think the biggest thing for me about Rumble is the freedom it offers. On the other hand, since it is new and is now being exposed due to the present environment, it presents a better chance to grow with a business with less competition. A few years from now, it will be harder to compete, just like YouTube. That is my opinion.

Good morning Erick,

Thank you for your feedback, it's appreciated.

I like the freedom that Rumble offers, we should be able to have free speech within reason. As people are changing to Rumble I believe the platform is struggling to keep up with demand. I guess it's similar to the Parler situation when 2 million people joined in one day! I think it may be worth a try.

Wishing you all the best and a great day.

Roy
