Does Wealthy Affiliate Really Work?
Does Wealthy Affiliate really work? This is a question I was recently asked through a private message, I was also asked if success could be achieved quickly as they had brought into several products that hadn't worked. I thought I would post my answer in a blog post as may be many people have the same question.
Thank you for your message and I would like to answer your question.
First of all, I have been self-employed since 1983, so I have a bit of business experience. Secondly, my first website went online in 2004, this was for an off-line business that needed to have a web presence. The reason I say this is because in 2004 I first started to see the huge potential and power of the Internet.
My first moneymaking website went live in 2007, but for 3 years I was researching and buying into very poor Internet products, which cost me huge amounts of money, but I was learning.
The great thing is with Wealthy Affiliate is that it takes you through the process of making money online, step-by-step and gives you the opportunity to ask questions, to take action and to go at your own pace. Wealthy Affiliate is a genuine opportunity and had I have found this program years ago, it would have saved me thousands of pounds.
I was learning in a very blind sort of way, but with Wealthy Affiliate, it puts you on the right path.
From reading your message, it seems like you want to make money quickly, this is highly unlikely to happen unless you have several hours each week spare to move things forward very quickly.
Let me give you an example, I set up a new off-line business 18 months ago, I had no work for the business, but 18 months later I am extremely busy and my income has skyrocketed!
An online business is no different to an off-line business and unless you're going to put time and effort into it, you will not have success, but if you have time and patience, it will definitely work, but don't expect it to happen quickly.
I am making money online and have made money online for the past 11 years, my off-line business it is also making money, my long-term goal is to increase my online presence, as much as I enjoy my off-line job!
I'm not trying to be negative, just real. I would never work for anybody as long-term, you're normally better off to work for yourself, I have now worked for myself for 35 years.
I hope this helps you, the main point being that Wealthy Affiliate does work, it is genuine, but it won't happen overnight.
Thank you for reading.

Yours is a very good answer and should sort out somebody who has unrealistic expectations

Great response, Roy! It does take time and effort (patience and persistence). And getting lots of quality traffic to your website.
The one thing I often see is that people do not do the math. They need to know how many sales are required to reach a specific income target and how many website visitors it takes to generate one sale. (Same thing with a brick-and-mortar business)
Good answer.
I like the way you directly address the implication behind the question:
"From reading your message, it seems like you want to make money quickly, this is highly unlikely to happen unless you have several hours each week spare to move things forward very quickly."
It's a nice way of reminding people that their success depends on their effort. A legitimate and value-rich program such as WA won't "really work" if you don't!
I also liked the point you made about how much money you would've saved if you'd found WA sooner.
All the best,

Right on Roy and that's what everyone is saying 'Don't try for overnight.' I think you gave the boy good advice.
