Amazon Silver Lining
I thought about it last night. Been working hard for three years with many ups and downs. It hasn't been easy and Amazon hasn't helped. Nothing like slashing commissions, huh?
But then I thought, well I'm not making money anyway so what's the difference? Well the difference is that Amazon has helped me to make changes that I should have made a long time ago. Eddy Solomon put it right, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket!"
I will no longer do that! That's for sure. I am branching out like I should have done a long time ago. The silver lining to the greedy Amazon cloud is to D-I-V-E-R-S-I-F-Y! That is exactly what I'm finally going to do.
Here's how I determined the positive coming from the Amazon greed: If I was making $2,000 a month, they would have now taken $1,500 of that away each month! I'm getting out of the way of that speeding Amazon bullet. Phew! Just in time.
I'll finally make commissions from other affiliate programs without having most of it taken from me. By the way? Can you actually get lower than a 1% commission? 1 is as close to zero as you can get!
Thank you Amazon for the lesson. Much appreciated :-)

Yes, I am in the same boat. Most of commissions from one of my sites were in the 8% Amazon bracket. That made it much better than the 3% or 4% of other items at Amazon. Now the 8% items will be 3% however and the items that were 4% will be 1%. It will no longer be worth my time.
For me, it turned out that it never was worth my time. We do the work and they reap the benefits. Not on my watch anymore.

Rob, I'm new to affiliate marketing but we have a similar experience. After leaving my IT job last December, I was going to dive into 2020 just doing music and ride-sharing with my gently used luxury SUV. I was gonna just kill it until Corona virus popped up All the ride-sharing, live music events and even food delivery dried up.
Luckily, I accepted a short-term IT contract at a hospital in mid January. I didn't know that contract was gonna save my life. The silver lining is that I have all the time in the world to work on my music. Also, I've been an on and off member of WA since 2014 but had too many options to focus on completing the training and setup. I'm getting trough my WA training now and so glad that the distractions have been snatched away. I am really enjoying this platform and community. Stay encouraged and motivated Rob!
I'm glad things are working out for you. Stay with Wealthy Affiliate and spread your wings! Good luck :-)
