Building External Links With Images
Image SEO Strategy For Effective Linking
Hi Folks
This is my third and possibly last blog on Images.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/robert-a/blog/best-practice-for-using-images
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/robert-a/blog/do-you-use-search-engine-friendly-images
You have probably read my other two blogs so having optimized your images effectively, you will stand a pretty good chance of being featured in Google Snippets and of course showing up in image searches. This is not all you can do with your images though. You can also boost your search engine results with your images to help bring in more traffic, and use them to build links.
If you’re writing content to be shared elsewhere, you can use one of your own custom built images and include an attribution link to your website. You can also make your custom images accessible to others under licence. This will mean that if someone uses one of your images they will most likely credit you, and therefore earn you another link.
If you don’t use your own images, you can still get profit through image use. You can contact someone whose images you have used to thank them, and link them to your content. If they like it, they might choose to link to you for a free bonus.
Image SEO ultimately comes down to making your images as effective as possible at achieving their purposes. This means, tagging, formatting and presenting them so they look good to searchers and search engines. If you can work on your own visuals and use them to build relationships you can create valuable links. It might sound complicated and a lot of work but most of the work only needs to be done once, so its definitely worth your time.
Ok folks that's all for now.
Have a great week and be successful.

Thank you for sharing this!
99% of the images I currently use on my website are my own and I'm learning slowly but surely the best way to capture, manipulate and format those images so they appear as professional looking as possible.
As I upload an image I never really thought - at least at this point - that anyone else would want to use it but you never know!
Great idea to have those images licensed and earn links from their use! And as Gary mentioned below - using this strategy for video as well!
Hello Susan and thank you for stopping by and for your input.
Its great you can create your own images.
I have an artistic bent as well and I do ok with my images and in fact you could probably see them all over the internet and not know they are mine.
A lot of WA Members use my images as well and even copy them from my blogs. (they ask me first)
Have a great Monday.
