Wow, what happened?
I took a day off and dropped over 600 points! I need to figure that out, I did manage a few things here, but I had to take care of other personal things too!
How do you manage to stay steady with your rankings?
I don't want to spend a day researching that if anyone can help with a few words, please?
I also took some quiet time to think deeply about my site's direction, sort of reverse engineering them as an exercise. Because, in my opinion, yes your niche and passion is definitely very important, but knowing that you have affiliation potential with companies early and as you plan I think helps you off the starting grid.
This thought process was also triggered by my keyword research and how both of the SEO's I am using, are not too keen on my choices.
That's why the option to change is built into WA. for this and other reasons too, I am sure.
Although there are plenty of affiliations possible, some of the fallback ones( mention no names) are becoming harder to harness, and I have found that many are country-dependent, whether you have .com or .co.uk. They ask about where your base is.
Obviously, international laws are evolving regarding everything on the internet, but if I didn't have a VPN I wouldn't even be able to see most of the sites I want to look at and research.
On the good news part, I did manage to put my first video on the sites. Its not mine but it clearly shows that.
So that is my little post for the day, now I must build some new ones for the sites.

Hello Rob,
Writing articles in Wealthy Affiliate and participating in the community does have an impact on rankings per say.
How it works is even when people are using key words in the internet and find in searches the well ranked website are seen first as you know, but also WA articles are found in the internet also and hence people read them and if the article talks about WA, then they further google Wealthy Affiliate.
Because that is how I come here, I read a WA article from a member proceeded to read it, which he did not have links included as the rules for WA blogs but then I googled Wealthy Affiliate and then found reviews for WA.
How interesting you write a blog in WA does get found in Google :)
I hope that helps, and then the ranks in WA can go up and down because of that.
Being creative in your WA blogs certainly helps :)

Yes that is correct you can not include your website links,
however you can include links to other Wealthy Affiliate articles and You Tube links or reference links to resources.

The ranking system Wealthy Affiliate is kind of a fun feature, but I wouldn't take it too seriously! The main thing is that you focus on building your online business, not your Wealthy Affiliate ranking.
I know you only joined Wealthy Affiliate in June, but as you write more blog posts, your ranking will naturally stay higher. However, don't force yourself to blog too much at Wealthy Affiliate; once again, focus on growing your business. I have been on the platform for almost ten years, so I have quite a few blog posts and have interacted with lots of people over the years. I actually don't have to do that much to have a high ranking; it actually comes naturally rather than being a forced ranking.
Incidentally, there are quite a few highly successful members on this platform who have a very low ranking. There is a genuine reason for this, they have focused on their business, not Wealthy Affiliate ranking!

I just read your first sentence and then went to your profile, as I had a feeling that you came from the UK, I think I may have read your profile before. I have never actually been on one of Jays live classes, as I'm an early riser, so it's far too late for me. However, it's one of those things I have wanted to stay up for, but it's never happened yet! I'm based in the UK to, on the Essex/Suffolk border.
I do understand where you're coming from, Rob, and actually think that's a really good thing! It's good to understand how things work and function; I'm very similar in that respect.
As I mentioned, I just read your profile again, I think I did read it when you first joined the platform, Rob. I think you may have changed your profile a bit or maybe it's me getting confused!
It sounds like you have had a great life, although you had some difficulties at the same time. I do hope that you can get things back together again and that all is well.
Wealthy Affiliate is a great platform with some great members. It does take time to build an online business and a lot depends on how much time we have to spend on the business. The more time we have and the more consistent we can be, the quicker we can reach our goals.

Don't worry about your rankings here these are just internal ranking within WA.
It has no bearing on your website and that is where the real focus should be on.
Where you can help other members here fine but focus on your site not your rankings here.

Hi Rob. It is important to re-evaluate what your real purpose is for being part of WA. Mine is to have a successful affiliate marketing business. For me, that has to be my priority. This is why my ranking here is moving out of the 200 rank, but this is okay. It's a great feeling but I know that things are possible. I have for the last couple days been writing out Goals which I have never truly done ever. My wordpress niche website has to be priority.
So, as you can see, I’m dealing with similar challenges. By prioritizing, learning, and scheduling, we find that everything starts to flow more smoothly. Doing the initial work makes it easier to achieve our goals. I'm taking these steps to reach new heights in my success.
I hope this makes sense to you. We both need to just keep on keeping on and business will become easier.
Hallelujah, time for an alcohol beverage....lol, I am kidding.

Well as you can see you and the others are only reinforcing the way my head was telling me to go.
I thought you had already crossed that bridge and turned the corner, you might want to try my little reverse-engineering technique, find the future affiliates and turn the site in that direction, it would have saved me 2 weeks of work, and I would have already secured other deals, because things, in general, would have been of a better class, ie writing etc.
That's what I have learnt from it all, and that AI only has limited use, niche dependent more so I think, let's go get 'em Rick.

what do you mean by "dropped over 600 points!" ? Here on WA? I don't know why you would care so much about your position here on WA, that doesn't bring in money for you, does it?
I have been an 'ambassador' here and that didn't change a thing for my income, only distraction from your actual work.
