My achievements so far
Hi to everyone. I just finished the second training course and I want to share some of the things that I have learned.
First, if you bought a domain name outside WA, you need to know that you can’t transfer that domain within the 60 days after creation.
That was an issue to me at first because I wanted to transfer the content of my rubix site to this domain. The solution was that instead of transferring my domain name I changed the names servers to the ones that WA provides and then I created a new website using my domain name. The only thing is that I started from the beginning and manually copy the contents of one site to the other.
After that, I created one subdomain because I have 2 websites, one in English and one in Spanish, and each one points to the other, and everything I do I do it twice, but they are 2 different websites.
The next thing was to create content. If someone tells you it´s easy, they are lying, that’s why you should choose a niche that, at least, you like, because you will be doing a lot of research to write your posts, but, like everything else, gets easier with practice.
And the last thing was trying to understand how Google ranks the websites, and is tricky. First your SEO tittle must appear in the body of you text, preferably within your first 200 words because Google search your content. The SEO title must not exceed 60 words, but it is not really 60 words because you must subtract the world length of title of your site plus 3 (separation spaces), so, if your website has a very large name, you will have less words for your posts titles.
You must include original content because Google will know if you copy / paste. Also, they rank how many websites points to your site. I don´t know if Google will rank you better if you point to another site, but I will try this and see what happens. This is because Google prefers quality content and this is a way to tell Google that you are giving more information about a topic.
I have made 4 posts in each of my websites, it´s been a crazy week.
