So-called "community" here is misadvertised... :-(
... at least, it is over on the "Give and Take comments" thread.
Over a week ago, I followed Kyle's instructions, which made sense to me, and left comments on several people's sites, then asked for folks to reciprocate the favor. Over the next week, I received a grand total of not one comment on my site. Not one single person could be bothered to take time to visit my site and leave a few words.
Yesterday, I went onto a number of other people's sites and left more comments... real, thoughtful comments, then went back to the give and take thread and asked again if anyone would do me the favor. One would think the people who I left comments with could have made an effort to reciprocate the favor, but again, that was obviously too much.
So, thanks, WA "community.... for nothing. I guess you have to know somebody, or be in an "in" crowd, to get anyone to leave a comment on your site. Obviously, extending them that courtesy, as I did, doesn't make a difference.
Two times I've asked. Over a week's time, not one single person on that thread... not one single person that I took time to leave comments for on their sites, has considered it worth their time... has been able to show the courtesy, to do the same for me. It's a real eye opener to realize I don't make the cut here. Even more of an eye opener to realize the "support system," so heavily advertised, doesn't deliver, when all is said and done
Seems what it's about here is the usual "me, me, me" B.S. I'm supposed to fork out 47 bucks to be treated like a nobody?
Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but this really makes me feel like crap. I thought this site would be different.... that the people here were for real.

If I am not mistaken, you may have left comments on the site of some few people individually. Probably, you need to ask comments on the community forum, may be on chat or discussion or anywhere which easily comes to the knowledge of others. There is no way that people do not respond to your query or comments because that's how they learn and get themselves identified here. At least I will be more than happy to respond to your comments provided it comes to my knowledge and off course if I am conversant with the solution to your problem.
Dear sir, since the last week I was experiencing a problem with my site. I placed my problem in the community. Nobody knows me here. I got number of repeated replies from number of community members. And ultimately that helped me to solve my problem. So please, try again. Best of luck
I always leave comments on other WA members' websites when they leave them on mine. I don't recall seeing your request, but don't think there is an "in" crowd here. I find everyone to be very helpful when help is needed.
I think Santa Clause beat you out. But still, I"m sorry that you did not get the response you wanted. But the response you really want is to your website. The rest is just flavoring. So, I'll go to your site and see if I gave you a welcome. John
I agree with the others. This is a bad season for getting feedback because most people are so busy. Try again after the New Year and I suspect you'll get better results.
Wow! You really are venting aren't you. Okay, now look at it this way. This is the holiday season. A lot of people are very busy. Yes, they probably have said some things on other blogs. Maybe that is what interested them. Did you go to chat or where did you go to ask for a review of your site? Some of the ones you reviewed were they new members and may not feel comfortable critiquing another site?
I could go on with a lot of other explanations but I won't.
There is no "in" crowd here. I have been here for almost 4 years and I am treated the same from everybody.
This is the best support system you will ever find as far as I am concerned. I haven't found any better and you know what? I am a member in some others too! No live chat in any of them.
But, mostly, I am sorry that you are feeling upset. That is not good. Post your link and I will check it out.
Rick - I'm sorry you haven't received the support that you wanted. As Kyle says a lot of people have been away. If you would like to post your site - I will happily have a look at it.

Do know that the last couple of days were very busy for most people with Christmas and celebrating and many people are more than likely going to reciprocate in the coming days.
