Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.
I would love to get some ideas and your thoughts on a website name I'm thinking of.
My product I've been making for
A couple of things to think about BEFORE you choose a domain name.
The domain should fit in with YOUR BRAND.
So, the first few things to think about are:
You've been doing this for 10 years, people have gotten to know you (YOU are your brand)
People actually make purchases via your Instagram page (Well done!! Yaay!!), so
WHAT is the name of your Instagram page?
Is it in your own name or do you have a specific handle?
People have been purchasing off you for YEARS, so they are AWARE of YOU, Your Instagram Page, and your "current brand" (even if it is just your name).
Don't get hung up on "Is my domain name rankable?", this is no longer a "thing", you won't rank simply because your domain name is searchable, it's all about the QUALITY OF CONTENT that your website offers that lead to INDIVIDUAL ranking of posts and pages on your website.
If you think about it, apple .com (don't sell fruit) Amazon .com (It's not a jungle or a river), so it's all about YOUR BRAND and becoming a RECOGNISABLE BRAND.
I think you already have some "recognition" (you've been making sales and people are finding your Insta page), so what's your "brand" for the business you have built over the last 10 years?
I mean (probably not available) but your brand could be rhondasgems .com (people ALREADY know "about you")
I dunno, just thinking out loud!! 🤣🤣
Thank you for writing ParthaB. I really like what’s your dishing up here plus I like the name that you kind of threw out my way. I appreciate that. Thank you yeah, my Instagram page is really funky because it’s not you would never go to my Instagram page. it’s only people that know me or that are linked up to me go to my Instagram they don’t buy off of my Instagram, but they look at my pictures of a lot of my outfits on my Instagram if that makes sense and it’s people that already know me because I actually work in a place that I sell my product. Then they will ask to say hey do you have any pictures of anything and then I send them to my Instagram page which Doesn’t have anything to do the name alone has nothing to do with where my pictures are that just happens to be where I had to land my pictures of my outfits because that was my only Instagram page and I didn’t think to make a brand new one with my name. It didn’t occur to me because I didn’t know anything back then , thank you for your input. I really appreciate that because I know it takes time to write back to people or let them know your take on things and when you spend your time to do that for me I really really wholeheartedly appreciate that.
Happy holidays and God bless
I think you nailed it with DiamondBlingBikinis. It's memorable, easy to read, easy to type, and it perfectly describes your product. Your domain name doesn't need to be keyword optimized as your audience will be finding your website via your individual posts. That's a winner in my eyes. Nicely done!
