Dan Rooney was the owner and chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He died on April 13, 2017 at the age of 84. He was the son of the Steelers founder, Art Rooney.

There were so many that wanted to pay their respects to this Pro Football Icon that they opened up Heinz Field today where the Steelers play football. From 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. visitors from the Steeler Nation came by the 10's of thousands. Including former President Obama and Vice President Biden.

In 2009 when Obama was President, Dan Rooney was nominated to be the Ambassador to Ireland.
