Covid Here, Covid There, Covid Everywhere

Covid, covid, covid, that's all we've heard lately on the news. Well, I am 69 years old and everyone is saying the elderly and those with health issues should get vaccinated being high risk and all. Well, I fall into both catagories being old, in 4th stage kidney failure, diabetes, and coronary heart disease, just to name a few; so after hearing of all the deaths from covid I decided I'd better get the vaccine.

I scheduled my appointment to get vaccinated and at the hospitol was told I would have to get yet, another shot. Well, again I figured with my health conditions if another shot would be neccessary, then so be it. Now later, about one or two months afterward we were told that now a booster shot was also neccessary and I'm thinking, what next! Believe it or not now their saying a 4th booster shot will probably be needed, so where does it end?

How many of you readers have thought the same thing? Late last year my cousin had an awful migrain head ache that wouldn't go away, so he went to the doctor and when tested for covid he was positive. OH! I forgot to mention he hadn't been vaccinated! It only took about 10 days and he was back to work with no covid symptons and all he had during his 10 days was only a headache.

Fast forward to Monday 1/17/22 at 4:00am, I woke up with a really bad headach, OH no! Remembering how my cousin had the same symptom when he had covid I called my doctor and after answering a bunch of questions I was told to come in for a covid test. So I drove to my doctor, pulled up to the door where testing was given, a nurse came out, stuck a swab up my nostrils and said this will take about 15 minutes. About 10 minutes later she came out the door and said," you tested positive for covid". What? I thought, how could that be? I've had all the shots and haven't been around to many people, so what good are the shots anyway?

It's now going on 7 days since I tested positive for covid and still the only symptoms I've had is a headache. I guess the question at this point would be, if you knew you were going to get covid anyway would you have gotton the shots? You better belive I would have, because if I hadn't I might be lying in the hospitol right now or even worse be in the grave yard down the road.

It was my choice to get vaccinated just as it should be for anyone who chooses too, however, some precautions should be implemented to avoid deadly consequences. There are some who advocate using unsanctioned means such as a cocktail of hydroxychloroquine and antibiotic azithromycin, and also ivermectrin, which was very successful treating covid in India.(https://www.thedesertreview.com/opinion/columnists/indias-iv...)

One thing is clear, you need to do whatever you can to prepare for the covid virus if it happens to come your way. Which ever treatment you choose just be ready!

I am 64 and have had none of the vaccines. I have had open heart surgery and I have been exposed to covid-19 several times. I have been fortunate enough to not contracted the virus but with all the side effects I will not put myself in a position of having any of the side effects. It is your decision to make.

To each his/ her own. I am 78 and will not take this unproven vaccine. I have had my winter cold bout and came out just fine taking my stem cell nutrtion, Vic C, Vit D3, Zinc, and Vit E.
I do not trust the fake news, big pharma, nor the govt. I prefer to stay healthy and put my trust in God. If it is my time to go He will take me, whether it be covid or something else.
It is my opinion the new world order is using this man made virus and its variants to gain their one world power grab. I am for Freedom of all to choose.

Yes, exactly--to each his/her own. And I have to add that even though I disagree with you, I absolutely respect you for voicing your opinion in a non-abusive way. This speaks well for your maturity and your well-rounded experience. After all, the fact that someone disagrees with another doesn't necessarily make them wrong!

Margaret

Totally correct, Margaret. There is no right and no wrong when it comes to people's opinions. They are ALL right and deserve to be respected.

Exactly, Archie đź‘Ť

The reason why your symptoms aren’t more severe is because you got the shots! Hey, they’re only shots and if they either keep you protected or decrease the severity of the disease, they’re totally worth it.

Stay in and rest, have chicken soup, and take care of you! (Grandma’s adage)

Thanks Feochadan, I'll do that!

I’ve had all vaccinations including the booster jab. No side effects apart from a sore arm. They don’t stop you getting COVID, but reduce the chances of severe illness. With your health problems you’d be classed as vulnerable, and the jabs could save your life. Best wishes, Kathy

I believe they already have!
