Can't believe I am wasting my time!
I have been with WA about four months now and still haven't made my first move to reaching my goals. Have read allot and signed up for several resources, but no action on my part. This is new to me but no reason not to get off my lazy rear end and take action,
Having been unemployed for two years now and still wasting time with looking for a job. Posting resumes, interviews, and follow-up, What a waste of time!
WA is the answer to the financial freedom and self satisfaction for us in our later years. The tools and people to achieve success, get an education, and rebuild your self esteem are all right here.
My commitment to my family, WA, and myself is to take action now!
So if any others (lost souls or newbies) are out there and wanted to join forces to keep ourselves on track, update each other on our progress, and become our own support group, let me know. I could use your help!

YES. I just became a member a few minutes ago and I think a support group to help me stay motivated to take action would be great. As I've already said, I'm new, so I have lots to get familiar with here at WA, but am also eager to get moving and start bringing in an income.
Please keep me informed as to the progress of this support group.
Thanks

This may sound kinda goofy, but try changing your profile pic to something else as it's an image of a dude sitting on a couch watching TV. By changing your imagery, you may see this every time you login and inspire yourself.
i admire that you are honest with yourself. none of us is immune from the procrastination virus. i am employed in a job that wears my body down and erodes my spirit and i am motivated to make wealthy affiliate work because i know i deserve better and also because i need to provide for my loved ones and of course finance my dreams. keep at it. i will do the same.
This is a big hurdle for many people...and often times if you think about it, it is senseless. What are the risks to taking action? The risks to "NOT" taking action far outweigh the risks TO. Action leads to success and I hope this epiphany you have had helps you get there.
I agree with the comments. I went through what you describe and it was only fear that kept me from taking action. You think to yourself, what if it doesn't work? I'll answer that one. It works. But so that you don't take on too big a bite, simplify it to a few steps that you can handle at first. Do keyword research, get a niche and product, do the Squidoo thing, and make articles to link to Squidoo. Do just that and it will give you a start and some confidence. PS. Forget the job market! Waste of time. Commit to success as an independent.
I hear ya, I am in the exact same boat as you are. I joined W.A. 2 months ago and still have not found any real success but a vast array of knowledge which keeps me focused. I want to start seeing some real results!
Hello sir! I know how you're feeling, when you first get started here at WA, you have all that new found enthusiasm to carry you along. As time goes on, and you get comfortable in the new environment... it's easy to become sedentary and content with inaction...
...in other words, you reach a point where you realize "hey, I'm my own boss". That is a good feeling, but it also means you have to keep yourself in check, something I often struggle with.
A practice that helps me is to "step outside of myself", so to speak, and look at what I'm doing like I'm my own employee. If I'm not doing enough, I ask myself "would my boss (if I had one) be satisfied with my performance?" If that answer is no, you know what you have to do!
Techniques like this make a world of difference, just because this is a work at home job, YOUR work at home job, doesn't mean it won't take some effort (I'm not saying you don't already understand this). Simply find a happy medium between learning, and applying what you learn, and you'll be on target in no time flat.
Cool - it seems that you have re-discovered yourself! Even just keeping up with a good blog will help to keep you on track. That's what I did when I first started to make sure that I would keep at what I said I was going to do. It's almost holding youself accountable to everyone here at the WA. Great post though - keep moving and you'll get there.

Somewhere in all of us is some "lazy", some "timid" and some "procrastination".
Apply just a little personal discipline and keep those things out of the picture, so to speak.
Then above all...do something productive. Little steps. One after the other.
Progress toward success is a kind of success. Go for it.
