I'm trying to set up Akismet, but when I log in, another old site that I don't use anymore comes up! I have tried to remove it but can't.
You do not need Akismet, when you host at WA SiteProtect - Spam Blocking Measures Added to Your Websites!
Thanks for your response, the thing is that I'm on course 4, lesson 2 and Kyle is telling us to do it, should I ignore that part?
Yes, I hope he will update the training soon. It's still important for people who host their websites outside WA, but it would be nice if he makes a note in the training about that.
Just so you know, I requested earlier today for that training to be updated, so it is on some sort of 'to do' list, however I have no idea when it would be actually updated.
That explains it, they spending so much time reading the ideas from the list, that they do not have the time to actually do the real updates. :)

As Loes says, Akismet is not needed if you host your site with WA.
Maybe your computer is remembering Akismet details that you used a while back.
If you are logging into Akismet, maybe getting in touch with their support team or checking out their support area will help?
If your website is hosted at WA, and you have SiteProtect on, it is ok to ignore Task 1 in course 4, lesson 2 where the task is to install and implement Akismet. However you do need to do the rest of the lesson.
I have just requested that this lesson be updated to remove all references to Akismet, and to change Task 1 in this lesson to "turn on SiteProtect for your website". I have no idea how long it may take for the lesson to be updated as that is clearly outside of my control.

Kyle, on the topic of how to link affiliate programs to your site, I would like to know if the review that you posted for the Vitamix is it your own words or did you get the in
