Feeling Stressed or blessed?

Hello, hello WA fam!! I am sorry, but I have been MIA for a hot second. I have been busy with my blog, and I wrote a short post about stress.

Yes, Stress is common in our lives, but this year has been one heck of a stressful one for me. Not only has it been one year since my dog passed.

But I will be taking my last exam to become a CNA, so I am studying daily to ensure I know what I'll be doing and how to do it so I don't have to retake the whole class.

I was also stressed most of the month of April due to a close friend whose father-in-law passed away.

Even though I couldn't be there for her in person (she lives in NC, and I am here in FL), I was always texting her after I was done with my site work and talking to her, trying my best to give her the comfort she needed.

She was very thankful for my being there for her. She was there for me during my dark times, so I did the same for her. 🫶🏻

So, back to stress. It's normal to stress sometimes, but it's not healthy to dwell on the stress in your life.

I love to put on soft, almost zen-like background music, write on my tea blog, and take my mind off the stressful thing that bothers me.

I don't know about you, but writing either by hand or on my laptop helps me greatly.

Growing up, I always loved my notepad, which I kept near my bed or took with me on car rides so I could write down my thoughts on the sheets of paper.

Do I love writing on my laptop? You bet! Click-clack sounds fly through the air here in my home. My mom and I work on our websites during the week.

I would love to thank my mom for my love of writing. She is the one who had many notepads, and instead of tossing them out, I'd say. "can I have it?"

And with her sweetest smile, she would give me the notepad, and I would have my pen in hand and start writing.

One of my go-to remedies for feeling upset is to write out my thoughts and burdens on paper, look at them, and ask myself what I can do to feel blessed and not stressed.

So I want to ask you something now: what do you do when you feel stressed? Let me know below. Have a great week ahead.

Thank you for sharing. Stress can be, well, stressful! I, too, use writing as an outlet when I am feeling stressed. It is a good way to release those feelings and even work some of them out!

That's cool that your mom and you are both doing websites!

Best wishes to both of you!

Karin

You're welcome! I am glad you found this helpful!

Hi Rebekah

Sorry to hear you had such a tough year. In today’s ultra-fast-paced world it’s so important to take time to do the things we enjoy, such as writing, etc.

I relax by spending time with my wife, playing music, watching movies, and learning new things.

Be well 😎

Thought provoking

glad to hear!

There is such a lack of CNAs in this world, and so much need for this kind of help.
Best wishes as you push forward, and grow with time.

Thank you! i have heard all abut the nurse shortage this year and I hope to do my best in the field.

Fantastic to hear from you again Rebekah!

Sorry to read in your response to Brenda that you no longer do karate.... that was always a great de-stresser for you I thought, but.... things change with time!

If I feel stressed, a nice long walk in the park with my pup helps.... especially followed by a stiff alcoholic beverage!

Take care my friend and all the very best moving forward with all that you do!

👍🤗🤗

Thanks! Yes, it was, but like I said, I didn't enjoy the classes anymore, so my mom supported me when I wanted to quit.
i might go back when I feel ready too. :)

If we don't enjoy something anymore then that is a great reason to stop and do something else that makes us feel happy Rebekah!

Enjoy the rest of your week my friend! :-)

Agreed, it's that also once i start my CNA job I'll be very busy so I wanted to step back from karate to make sure I don't overdo myself.

I wise decision Rebekah,I hope it all goes very well for you my friend! :-)

Great to hear from you, Rebekah! When I am stressed, I either sleep or write!

Congrats on almost achieving your goal!

Jeff

Thank you, Jeff! I'm still here, but I don't tend to blog as much.

You bet, Rebekah, and you have a lot on your plate right now! Keep succeeding! Well done!

Jeff

I will do as much as I can without feeling overwhelmed.

That is the best attitude to adopt, Rebekah! Best continued success to you!

Jeff
