Life Happens
So I've been AWOL from posting for a few weeks. That's because life has gotten in the way of WA - my husband and I are in "Christmas Carol" play at our local community theater. He has the lead role of Ebeneezer Scrooge, and I play several smaller parts throughout the play. Plays mean practices three nights a week, plus I am an avid costume designer and maker, so......
Opening night is next Friday! Fitting theater in to an already full week with a 40+ hour a week job doesn't leave much time for blogging, I have found. So I wrote a post on my website about making my costume for the play. That's all I can manage for now.
My site gets traffic every day, which is exciting to me, but I still haven't seen any income from it. I know that it will happen when I least expect it, and that I still have so much to learn! I keep thinking that eventually I will have enough content to really get noticed, if I just keep adding to the site. Every idea could be THE post or page that goes viral!
It's like playing a slot machine....you just don't want to quit cause the "big win" could be next!
After the play is over, I can get back to all those ideas swimming around in my head. Until then, as Tiny Tim observed, "God bless us....every one!"

I think it is marvelous that you and your husband are in such a wonderful Christmas play. I once worked on costumes for a play and though it was work it was grand fun! I wish you the best success with your play, and you know we will be here when you return. God's blessings, Christa :)
Thank you! Six performances over two weekends and we are sold out! It should be great fun and worth all the work!

Even just 1 post per week is fine for maintenance mode, and you can pick things up when you have more time. Take some pictures of your play and the costumes, and you'll have excellent, 100% unique content for your blog, which will bring people back!
Traffic is the first step to success, so you're half way there! Keep writing, and traffic will grow (and income will follow).
