Been there, Done that

It seems the more I investigate online, and the further I get along in the lessons here at WA, ideas pop up everywhere for my own site. The creative juices certainly get moving.

But one thing strikes me.....

The internet is so huge, and getting bigger exponentially! Between everything being posted every day (I recently read a question here about adding a post to your site every day!) and new websites being added, plus all the social media posts....WOW! It just boggles the mind of this simple girl and I can get overwhelmed!

It's a good thing I don't work for Google!

I start to think that no matter what I try, someone will have done it first....or better....or bigger. Or worse yet, someone already had my idea and acted on it.

I see many new members here at WA as well. Each is unique with their own experiences, ideas and abilities. And many are much more knowledgeable about computers in general than I.

So what makes me think I can do this?

When those negative and self-defeating thoughts sneak in, I banish them!

If others are doing this, why NOT me? If someone else acted on my idea, then I will do it differently.

No one thinks exactly like me.

No one writes exactly like me.

No one has exactly the same experiences that I do.

No one has exactly the same tastes or skills that I have.

Just because someone did it first, doesn't mean they did it better.

We are each unique beings and as such, have something unique to offer! It really is that simple!

Remember this the next time you feel discouraged!
