WHAT IS YOUR WHY?

What is your why? I am not talking about the Y in X-Y-Z. or the Y in YMCA. I am referring to your WHY. I am talking about the WHY that brought you to the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

The WHY that brought you here is the same WHY that will keep you here.

In your comfort zone you may feel secure, even though you really want more. But being in your comfort zone is not a growth mindset. Out of your comfort zone feels uncertain and insecure.

AN INSECURE MINDSET IMPEDES YOUR PROGRESS

An insecure mindset dims your light. It neglects the fact that you have big dreams and hopes that can only be realized on the other side of your comfort zone.

THERE IS A COST TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM

Deep down we all want financial freedom. We want a better quality of life. We desire to be financially secure and want our children and grandchildren to have a better life, too.

WHAT WE REALLY WANT IS:

Freedom to make money online. Freedom to work wherever we choose – at home, in the mountains, on the beach, on the Orient Express (top of my bucket list), while on vacation in the Bahamas or on a cruise ship (way out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean).

My Auntie Loo was a female fisher woman. I got to go on one of her excursions. That is another blogpost (lol). We can, basically park our laptops anywhere in the world even on a boat in middle of the Atlantic, and make massive passive income, as Holly would say.

HOWEVER, FREEDOM COMES WITH A RISK

My successful associates say it Best when I ask them about their success:

  • “At times you feel like you want to throw in the towel.”
  • ‘I felt like I wanted to throw my laptop out the window.”
  • “I wanted to crawl under my covers and hide.” Now they own Brownstones, timeshares up in the Poconos and some actually live a 6 & 7-figures lifestyle.

But what they all have in common is they are pretty much workaholics. They made it to the summit of success by going all in. So, the moral of the story, is to work hard, NEVER give up and follow those dreams and don't let them slip by.

PERSERVERENCE IS KEY

The bottom line is – although the road to success may be bumpy at times, don’t give up, it is so very worth it. Every successful person has a unique story to tell. At the end of the day, they are all glad that they persevered through every trial, every challenge, and every hurdle.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Are you ready to push past your obstacles and step 250 yards away from your comfort zone?

If so, you are ready to experience financial freedomon your own terms, having more quality with family, working when and wherever you want, as the owner of your own online business. Two thumbs up for Wealthy Affiliate. Your Why begins right here, right now. WA2GO!!! Wealthy Affiliates!

Ahh, The Orient express is a great Y, and there are a few others that would be equally as good. The train in Canada that goes through/around the Rockies. There is one in India ( a bit rough) that I would also like to do. And one in South Africa Ijust saw on YouTube, Rovos Rail
Here’s the link. https://rovos.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwo667cPW_QIVEQRgCh13tQBfEAAYASAAEgIoVPD_BwE
On the same note, I sometimes think I see the light at the end of the tunnel….but yep you got it…it’s a train, lol..
my why is freedom…
Stevoi

Zoop,

You upstaged me this time, Stevoi.
Thanks for the link. One of these trains goes through New Zealand and Switzerland. I have 2 friends in New Zealand and one in Zurich.

Haven't seen them in years. This, too shall pass, Stevoi, Zoop.
Thanks for the link. Lots of great information.

p.s. I have my play daughter in South Africa and another friend Adele (not the singer)

As a New Zealander I should have known that one.
Stephen

Are you a NZr.

I have friends that I work with from New Zealand.
Great down-to-earth people!

Rachele 👍👍

Hi, Rachele

My “Y” was to explore something new. At 68 years old and semi-retired, I wasn’t looking to create an income to replace a full time job.

So my guitar site is really an extension of my passion for music that’s becoming profitable. 😎

Rock On! 🤘

Hi there, Dr. Frank

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to comment and give feedback. I always appreciate those that bring value to this amazing community.

That's pretty awesome that you are already financially secure. Lucky you. I love your honesty. Music is an awesome passion to have. Passion + Profit is a win-win.

Rock On Doc!
p.s. I found a miniscule typo - Did you mean 68 years young?

Hi, Rachele

Lol! You just reminded me of one of my medical school professors.

He would insist that we say, for example, Mr. Smith is a 33 year “young” man with a history of dilated cardiomyopathy, blah, blah, blah.

Of course, we were all in the habit of saying year “old,” and if someone forgot, he would make a big deal of it. And yes, he was ancient, and we all thought he was scared of dying. 😎

Later on, when I was a third-year medical resident doing an ER trauma room rotation, he was brought in by rescue in respiratory failure. I intubated him and said year “young” in his honor when I presented his case to the ICU.

He was a great guy and became a patient and a close friend after I opened my medical practice, so thanks for the memory. 👍

Haha, now the joke’s on me because I’m rapidly catching up to his age back then! 😂

Have an excellent Sunday, Rachele, even though we lost an hour with the set-the-clock-ahead thing!

Rock On 🤘
