My first blog post-what do you think?
As a full time mother of three children I have dedicated the last 9 years of my life to raising my babies. In those years, I have discovered my true passion and I have developed many skills I wouldn't have had if I hadn't taken the path I did. I must say that my life so far has been very rewarding in many ways and I have learned so much from the life I have lived. But in saying that, I have watched many of my peers carve out a life for themselves. Some have careers and work hard to pay off their mortgage, car and buy nice things, others are only just settling down and having their own families now. Other ones have worked minimum wage and one even managed to win 36 million on the lottery- lucky for some! But more often that not, I have noticed that they are all living in the RACE OF THE RAT. So although I have seen my bland days and it seems my life has been on the back burner all these years, it has actually afforded me the time to sit back and really see things for what they are.
My baby (she's almost 5, but yes she's till my baby LOL) is off to school in a matter of months and I am realising that for once I will have time to dedicate to pursue whatever it is I want to!
So I;m sitting there one day, daydreaming about the life I would be living if a) I had the financial means and b) dreams came true. And in that daydream I had financial freedom (far from current reality) oh, I was tanned and beautiful relaxing on a beach in Greece with no cares in the world. Then I realised there ARE actually real people with financial freedom who are tanned and beautiful relaxing on a beach in Greece. Hmmmm.... RAT RACE or Beach in Greece? I mean, I know exactly how to get in the RAT RACE. It's how to get out of it that and get to the beach in Greece that I want to know! The search was on. I want answers! I don't need to know what I already know, I want to know how people are able to relax with peace of mind that they can have whatever they want whenever they want.
By now you're probably thinking- enough of the life story, so what has all this got to do with Wealthy Affiliates?
What I want to say is since discovering and joining Wealthy Affiliates I have grown in confidence that the life I was daydreaming about can one day become a reality. One day. I have NO FORMAL EDUCATION to speak of. I have NO "WORK EXPERIENCE" to speak of, up until now all the skills I have relate to kids, kids and more kids. But Wealthy Affiliates is informing me that this doesn't even matter! I can bring my little old self to the table as I am, no prior experience needed! What do you think this means for me? It means that I'm in for success! It means in time, I will be telling my success story along with all the others! What I have learned with Wealthy Affiliates so far has absolutely blown me away. I am so thankful to you all for your help so far! I am finding it hard to even put into words the feeling of excitement I have about the possibilities. They are endless. I have found myself waking up early hours in the morning with excitement to write down my ideas. And it is all thanks to Kyle, Carson and the members of Wealthy Affiliate and the environment they have created. If you are wondering whether or not to become a member, I would say do it, do it, do it. Honestly, how can success not be possible?
If I haven't managed to bore you half to death by now I'd just like to say thank you for taking the time to read my first blog post. I am interested to hear what others think of MY VERY FIRST BLOG POST does it make sense? if you feel like it's worth commenting on, please do so :) I wish you all the success in the world!
PEACE XXX

Hey Raven, At least you know someone living the worry free life ( 36 million...lots of money),but I don't I know anyone on that level. All my friends including me are RAT RACERS. It's great to have dreams, and even better to realize those dreams and be able to look back on that point in time where you made the decision to break away from the craziness and kick life in the balls....go for it. We are all with you!!
Enjoyed your post, and being a mum requires many skills that education cannot provide, circumstances led me to find another way to work and support myself, WA gave me a way to do that and I knew nothing about online business 5 months ago, I wish you every success for the future ahead
Definitely in the right place and I can tell you have the spirit and drive for it... You go girl, reach your dreams ;)
Thanks for sharing your story... Your "babies" are clearly in GREAT hands!
That's a wonderful story and dream. I myself am in the "rat race " and trying to get out so I can spend the time with my daughter that she deserves. Good luck and Best wishes. Your first blog was great.
You have work experience. Bringing up three kids is extremely hard work and you will have acquired many skills and gained a great deal of knowledge that will stand you in good stead for setting up your own business. Don't you think for a moment that your skills are less because they have been around child care. They're not. Wishing you the best of luck (Oh an by the way - you write really well - so that is clearly something you're not going to struggle with at all - and that puts you well ahead of some that find it more of a challenge) :) Beverley
From what I have seen so far you have come to the right place to bypass that rat race and maybe even sponsor a few rats to join your crew.
Hi RavenKama, Firstly - Well done and congrats on publishing your first Blog - I have previously drafted a couple of efforts but just held back from publishing them, so I find your actions motivating.
Far from boring any one half to death I would say that you will more likely inspire a lot of people to action just by your enthusiasm which is infectious. If you apply the same level of enthusiasm to creating your business I cant imagine you not getting to that lifestyle you paint a picture of so lucidly.
Keep us all informed of any and all successes which you achieve.
Gerry
Hey! Thanks so much for your kind words! See this is exactly what I love about WA! I feel my confidence levels go up when I hear things like this! All these things play a part in helping someone to success so thank you :) I am interested in reading your posts! Hahaha believe me, I will be shouting my success from the rooftops when the time comes, Im sure you will find out :D
This is a wonderfully inspiring first blog post. I first learned about escaping the "rat race" through reading the Robert Kiyosaki "Rich dad" books. They were a real eye opener about how you can live a better life and that you don't have to follow the crowd.
We are taught from an early age to go to school, get good grades then get a job for 40 years but there has to more to life than that.
Thank you for sharing your blog post. :)
