Slow and Steady - But Good Fun
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
In many ways it has been quite a good week for me, both business wise and in general, having managed to get a certain amouint of work done in several general areas as well.
Having the articles ready for the next few weeks has enabled me to really get down to sorting things out, from both the hard drive and annotating what should be done for what site or product in the futue.
It has also proved to be very time consumimg, having to read each file as I come to it, before deciding what to do with it.
As you will read it has not only been hard work, quite intensive, also good fun, reading some of the material which I have found and opened.
The Last Few Days
I did say last week that I intended to get on with sorting out the old files and deciding what to do with them, as indicated above, this I have managed to do, it is certainly going to take a long time, as I am reading and checking all that I find, to ensure that not only have I use for it, but where it should fit in the grand scheme of thing.
Pleased to say that I have managed to get into the Garden, the shrubs at the side of the house at the front were getting a little large to put it mildly, some of these have now been reduced to a more acceptable level.
Do accept that I have an awfule lot still to do, but it is a matter of being able to bend and kneel when I can get into the jungle, also not forgetting the weather, which has been to put it mildly, very mixed.
Think that I mentioned that I hoped to spend sometime on one day a week updating my Family History, to my delight had a fantastic discovery. We have been aware for a long time that my wife's four time Great Grandfather was born in Armagh, Northern Ireland. It would appear that his father was a gamekeeper to the local Earl, who had an estate in Ireland so he used to go there in the Summer.
We knew that his mother's name was Jane, but no surname, at last I have found just what that is. Another name on the Family Tree.
It has been amazing just what I have found when I have opened up the old files, to ensure that I know what should fit where, I have listed all my registered domain names in new files, to these I can now add files and products which I consider to be suitabl for future use.
Also found time to do a little revising, this has also been a great help as it has reminded me what I need to do with regard to certain projects, also how to produce suitable websites.
The Next Few Days
The amount of work that I will be able to do in the next two weeks will be reduced, as it is the start of the Poppy Appeal, tomorrow I will be selling poppies in Sainsbury's.
Also have other shifts, not forgetting Rememberance Sunday, when I will be laying wreaths at two local war memorials.
It is my intention to carry on doing what I have been doing this week, Appreciate that it is hard, slow work, but I will get there.
Also intend to have a look at AI, as I have negected it for a few weeks also intend to have a look at some of the affiliates which I have.
Conclusion
In general I was pleased with what I managed to achieve these last few days, I do not think that I realised just how much work it was going to take, to achieve my target.
When you conside some of the files have between fifty and one hundred items in them, these all have to read, the sorted. Still it is good fun.
Be happy, healthy and wealthy,
Please do stay safe,
God Bless,
Stuart

Sorting files -aaagh. I’ve learnt the best way is to just buy a new hard drive and start again. Keep the old one. Some of these solid state drives are in the tera bytes.
Thansk Bux,
Actuallyu getting ready to buy a refurbished computer, to increase everything as mine is rather ancient. Am putting stuff to store on a USB.
You have been very busy, indeed, Stuart! Very well done! We always seem to have a lot of things to do, but at least it keeps us busy!
Have another Great new week!
Jeff
Every word you said reminded me that I have 50 years of books, files, letters etc. to go thru. Have a great week! l

Good morning VH,
I'm doing a countdown now of when I can leave NY!!!!! She asked me to stay but it's a SOLID NO!!!! We've had nothing but rain, rain and more rain. I did get out to have lunch with some friends twice (much needed breaks). My daughter texts me to check up on me......she knows how tough it is here.
On the upside, I have been getting into email more so I get to see what you're up to. Sounds like you had a really productive week both inside and out.
The Ancestry venture takes a LONG time but I find that it's fun to do. I need to get back to mine as well although I'm kinda stuck without anyone to ask questions to. My brother leaving me birth and death certificates helps a tad especially health wise. You had a couple really GREAT finds populating your tree. I lose a lot of data when they came from Europe to US. Many of the records were destroyed.
Anyway, I hope this week is just as productive for you.
Take care
Your VW
