A sense of security taken away
Hello,
I usually write several times a week but have not in a week or so for a reason. Even though I live in a safe area, I was actually robbed last week. I am ok and was not hurt but I have had this sense of security taken away from me.
Knowing that my personal information is out there for someone to use is also very concerning and the cost of replacing stuff is beyond aggravating.
I will look at this as a challenge and just get over it and become stronger because of it but having that feeling in the pit of your stomach is not pleasant.
I will come back to normal in the days to come.
Talk soon.
Pierre

So sorry to hear that you got robbed. Hopefully whoever done it will get caught if not already.
HI Mike
It is on video but he is wearing a headlight and that hides his face. Argh.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it.

Oh Pierre that’s so terrible and I feel for you. You sound like you are dying and getting things back on track. Take it slow and stay positive.
Thanks Joanna,
I have to stop the pity party and get going, writing about it helped.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it.

Sorry Pierre I just realised I wrote dying instead of trying.. I do hope that things have got better for you now.
Oh Pierre! I am so sorry! When our personal space is violated it is indeed daunting! I suppose that person needed what you had more than you needed it? That is the only way I can understand this kind of violation.
I am grateful you were not hurt. And hopefully the psychic sense of security will come back in time.
And the question also begs itself to ask, does this impact my sense of trust? Or am I willing to understand it had absolutely nothing to do with me.
And that the choice is that fear is not the way we want to live.
I wish you great comfort!
Again, so grateful you were not hurt!
Blessings and ease, ariel
Hi Ariel,
Trust is an issue for issue. The worst part is that I live in a safe city so it is almost a double shocker. I am ok indeed and that is all that matters.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it.

So sorry to hear this! How horrible that must be. I think that the main issue for me would be the feeling of violation, far more than losing stuff. I would probably be tempted to move, but then again, this sort of thing can happen anywhere.
I hope you can recover whatever was taken, and I am glad to hear that no one was hurt.
Hi, violation for sure. I am worried about identity theft and stuff. So agravating.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it.

Hi Pierre,
I'm sure you feel very violated. I remember how awful I felt when I had my wallet stolen and later discovered that one of my cards had been used after I'd already cancelled it. I'm sue you've already cancelled your cards but it's not a bad idea to check and make sure nothing was charged on them.
Soon this will be just a bad memory. Feel better!
Erica
Thanks Erica,
I was lucky, my wallet was not touched except for my reward cards and I cancelled those for sure.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it.

I'm relieved to hear that you don't have to deal with the bank stuff. Trust me it is almost as big of a nightmare as what you've been through.
