in doing some niche research and looking for suitable domain names i'm coming across quite a few where the .com has already been taken but other TLD's such as .co.uk .co .org .
Personally, I'd switch to a domain with a .com. But .net should be acceptable too. Others, I wouldn't use for my site personally (especially ones that are regionally qualified like .co.uk - that's very limiting).
I would do a tricky combination and alter the words. Howtoomake moneyonline was a dot com I chose to put in an extra O ................Scotty B
Whats is more important the tld or the domain name?

how about the new .co domains? would they be close enough to a .com? - so what you're both saying is tweak the domain name to ensure i get the .com TLD and it doesn't really matter as long as its close enough?
