My Dear WA-ers!
I need all the help I can get from more experienced entrepreneurs. My website is over 1-year-old. i get over 4000 visitors per month and the traffic is still
Your site is easy to navigate, has useful and inspirational information and like you said, you have decent traffic. I am honestly not sure why your traffic isn't converting to sales. The only thing that crossed my mind is that I personally found myself checking out the DIY projects...
I already have the tools necessary to complete most if not all of these projects. Maybe the power tool/DIY combination is not the right combo. I would be more interested in what lights go under the completed bed, or an already made for me DIY project I could by, fairy lights to compliment a project, etc.
I have no idea if what I am saying is on point but it's what came to mind. The best way to find out what your audience wants is to ask them...maybe try a post asking them what they want more of?
Thank you JoyNelson for your feedback. Maybe you right and I should include more accessories for the projects like lights or metal, steel studs/ fittings. I've also been thinking to change my theme completely to make it look more clean and professional. What do you think?

Anyone else would you be able to help??? I'm on the verge of quitting working on this site and move on to different projects I've got in mind.
I got a bit tired of not seeing results I want and I'm not talking big money just to see conversions from my reviews etc.
Should i change my theme? Do my reviews look professional to you?
I'd be very grateful.

Sometimes, when I get frustrated with one project I focus on another for a little while. But one time I got so frustrated with my blog that I decided to change the name. I was getting 1000 views per day and didn't realize that changing my blog name would cause me to lose all my back links and traffic...if yiu do choose to focus on something else for a bit I recommend keeping this site active.
They say if yiu can make a single sale then you can experinece success. Yiu have already achieved that. I recommend looking for other diyers to writ3 for your site. I also just read that most tool sales are still made in person rather than over the internet...so my recommendation about changing your product focused may be spot on.
If yiu want me to write a bit of content for you let me know. My main gig is blogger and writer...and I love diy projects. I also have a micro farm that we recently purchased so I could complete a project and write about jt...just to bring some fresh energy and aupport.

Thank you, Joy for your help and insightful thoughts:) I know WA is an awesome community but I kinda feel stuck. Whenever I ask for a feedback I get "write more content " answer but with this kind of results and the limited time that I've got I feel like I'm wasting my time.
Traffic is growing and compared to last month by over 25% so far but no Amazon sales. it's a bit weird because last month I had fewer clicks and my conversion rate was around 13% which is quite good.
It would be fantastic if you could write something for me :):):)I'd be over the moon :)

I just visited your site. Love all the cool ideas and see great potential in it. I agree with Tonia, you need to incorporate the tools into your blogs about what you are making. Good luck and don't give up.
I would absolutely keep the site!
It's basically a year old. Google likes that and the longer it's active the more Google will pay attention. You've already made it through that "first year probation". Your domain is a great keyword that has great search. Use Jaaxy to find other keyword phrases to mix into your content. There are so many excellent ranking choices for this niche.
Having a quick look at your affiliate items...
You need more content, period. All I see is a list of tools with a link to purchase, and even the link to purchase isn't really super obvious. The blue font makes it difficult to read. I would aim for red and in bold to catch the eye... make it a better Call to Action.
Also, get into the WHY your visitor needs a specific tool. What's the benefit? Go even further and list the benefit's benefit. Remember to focus your content on a specific keyword or keyword phrase. The goal is to rank that specific page in Google so it draws even more organic traffic.
You're already getting good traffic and I suspect it's to your main page because of the domain name itself. If you add more content and focus that content, you should see more traffic to those pages with the affiliate links. If your content speaks to the visitor, you'll see sales.

Type your keyword into Google and visit the first 5 ranked pages. Look at their structure and see what it is they're doing. That may help.
Thank you for your answers :) I'm trying to get some perspective as I don't see the results after 1 year and I thought maybe I should retarget my website. Most of my traffic go "to how" to articles and most of it leaves after reading them.
I've updated most of my product reviews with clear CTA buttons but the thing is with over 3000 people coming to my site only 85 visited my review posts. So maybe I need more targeted audience ready to buy.
You said about a list of tools with links. It's a one of post about father's day deals that was supposed to show people specific deals on Amazon. The rest of tool reviews are around 1000 word each.
That's why I'm concerned. Maybe i should change the domain name to more power tool related but keep in mind the pallet project niche. What do you think?
My mistake. Yes I was looking at the Father's Day post. I see that your review pages do have more content.
Target the buyers. Do some keyword research on phrases being used by folks that are ready to buy, but be specific to the tool you are trying to sell. Use those phrases to form a page around it.
Even if a phrase only gets 20 searches per month, it doesn't matter. If you build your page to narrowly target those 20 searches, that's 20 chances to sell that product each month.

So there is that issue that's been bothering me. Images. I know that you should only use free images or buy them, but my niche is very specific and I'm st
I just don't worry about it too much. If they ask me to take it down, I will, but it isn't too likely I'm going to post a statement about my intentions. I consider it free publicity if someone else's name is on the pic. I found a photo the other day that clearly stated underneath it was royalty free and yet a photo site was charging users for it. The whole issue looks pretty murky to me.
Maybe you're right and I shouldn't really worry about it. As for Pinterest it's pretty much the same because most of the pictures(if not all) are linked to websites they are pinned from. So I have to check them anyway.

It's a huge challenge especially when people have already used an image and haven't credited it.
If you find something on google it will usually give you the opportunity to go to the site where the image was used. if they haven't credited it that's as far as you can go. But you can still name the site and say 'image found on .........' That way any copyright issues belong to that site.
You can't say any image on the internet is is the public domain and therefore doesn't need to credited because all images are on the internet!
I know, but that's what I have found on that website. It's not a small, new website. It was created back in 2009 and has a fair amount of followers (like 16k on Facebook). That's why I've asked.
I always go to the website and check it out.
I like your idea. Do you think I should link back to that site as well or just mention where the image was found?

I'm thinking that copyright is a complex area and one to avoid unless you get some definitive advice....trouble is that it's different all over the world and what might be absolutely correct in, say, the US might trip us up in the UK.
Might be an idea to use your own images if at all possible and then there's no issue whatsoever.
