Hello everyone. I live in Germany and I need to address the people in both English and German language. How do I create content in both languages? Does anyone have experience w
No harm in having your site available in multiple languages - it all depends on what you want to achieve.
As Dale123 points out - not always necessary, and 1 target language is enough.
I'll add that you are far better building out your site first and see where it goes - you might not convert all that much better if your affiliate products are not in a language that your readers will understand on the merchant's site - or if it is a physical product that can't quite be exported or is prohibited item.
(you be surprised - I got a warning letter from the Malaysian Government for importing.....Vitamins, and books held at customs in Vietnam (importing anything requires a licence in Vietnam).
Another example if you are promoting WA and the training is in English, how does it benefit having your site in multiple language when to get the benefit from WA being fluent is English is a requirement?
if your monetising by ads and is your sole purpose is advertising revenue the sure the extra traffic will be worth it. Neil Patel Experienced a 40% in traffic by having his site available in multiple languages.
To get that extra traffic make sure the correct HTML attributes are set in regards to the Hreflang

You might need to make sure the ref=Cannonical is correctly set so the original (e.g English) is correctly identified as the original source of the translation - I'm not sure on this part if it is absolutely required, but I would imagine so. Consult with an expert in regards to that part.
Thank you for the good advise! I just wanted to translate the about me and a little of my own content to attract German readers. I would not translate everything (like product description ) it’s not necessary,
Hi Patricia, there are some plugins that may be helpful.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-language-translator/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/translatepress-multilingual/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/gtranslate/
You don't need to create the content in multiple languages - you just want to create it in 1 language (throughout your website) and let your visitors do the work of translating. You can of course make it easier for them by adding the likes of Google Translate, and you can see how to do that here: How to add Google Translate to your Wordpress website
Thank you! Yes I understands it would be too much work and I am busy as it is. I would only want to translate the about me to target German readers to my website.
