Rabbit and the Turtle
Leo’s Fable - The Rabbit and the Turtle
An adaption of Aesop’s Fable The Hare and the Tortoise
One day an affiliate marketeer was making fun of his friend and telling him how great he was. "I don’t need others to help me I can do it on my own. I am the greatest blogger anywhere and much greater than you anytime. I am as fast as a rabbit. I will be making more money than you and live the life style you can only dream about. You are like a turtle, so slow at posting new blogs and going through all that training at Wealthy Affiliates only slows you down. Do you think you will ever get anywhere?” he asked with a laugh.
The WA marketeer smiled and said, “Yes, and I’ll get there sooner than you think. I challenge you to a race. We will race for 1 year and at the end of the year see who is in the lead”
The ‘rabbit’ as I will call him, was very amused with the idea of racing against the ‘turtle’ and while laughing accepted the challenge. They agreed to work on their websites not to talk to each other until the year passed.
The ‘rabbit’ was soon out of sight and could still be heard laughing. He then went to a bar and bragged to his friends about how he was going to teach this ‘turtle’ a lesson.
During the next many months, the rabbit kept telling anyone who would listen at all the places he went the story of the challenge and how he would win.
In the meantime, the WA ‘turtle’ kept consistent in his training, asking for help, given help to others, and writing post for his website. As time passed he got better in his writing and creating post more quickly. After a while he got a small check from a couple affiliates. They were small at first but kept getting larger.
During the eleventh month the ‘turtle’ received call from the ‘rabbit’. “Where do you want to meet? Bring proof of your vast earnings and your computer so I can see your site and read all your post. The loser pays for the lunch”, the ‘rabbit’ said while laughing.
The day arrived and the ‘turtle’ asked, ‘How do I get to your website?”. The ‘rabbit’ replied “Just enter: http://www.TheGreatestBloggerEver.com” to see the greatest site ever.
"And how do I get to yours?", asked the ‘rabbit’.
"Just do a google search for ‘saving time and making money’ ", he replied.
“Yes, but what is your URL”
“You shouldn’t need it”, answered the ‘turtle’ with a big smile on his face.
When the ‘rabbit’ entered the keywords the ‘turtle’ point to his site on the first page of the google search.
After looking at the ‘turtle’s’ site the ‘rabbit’ paid the bill and asked: “How can I join WA?”
The ‘turtle’ smiled and said. “Just click on the WA link on my site and when you join, we will all be there to help you. We are truly a Family at WA.”
The race is not always to the swift and boastful but to those who are consistent, humble and determined to win and Never, Never, Never Give Up.

P.S. I plan on posting more "Leo's Fables"
Leo, you did an outstanding job of making turning the story of the rabbit and the turtle into a very relevant reminder for us as affiliate marketers.
Well, I must go doing what that turtle did.
I hope that you have a very productive week as you progress towards your goal.
Sondra,
In a short time at WA I realized that we were more than a community and that we are Truly a Family of brothers and sisters with awesome Patriarchs (Kyle and Carson). Since then I have refused to refer to bus as a community but always as a Family. Prior to WA I was with an AF 'business' that was no where near a family but a group only interested in their personal gain.
Our Family is VERY Selfless and always willing and wanting to help their brothers, sisters, and offspring.
Thank you for being one of my great Sisters.
Leo
Nicely written.
Thank you Leo for sharing a great story.
Have a wonderful Sunday. I agree never never give up!

You are a great story teller Leo. There is a deep but exciting message in your story that every new member (all members for that matter) here at WA should read and remember.
