So Last Century
I remember when I first got into internet marketing (and that was definitely last century) one of the accepted wisdoms was that you got more credibility by quoting exact numbers rather than rounded figures.
While I think this is still true with pricing (I'm about to release a training course priced at $997, not $1,000) I do think we've all grown a bit more sophisticated (or do I mean cynical) in the intervening years.
For example...
I received this email today:
"Did you know that YT's new AI engine is the most powerful AI model EVER?! Yup, and it’s so secretive that nobody is talking about it…
World 1st Automated AI System Allows Us To Exploit YT's Overlooked AI Algorithm Giving Us Daily Access To 394,356 Viewers, Generating $778.11 Per Day On Autopilot!
❌ No Videos ❌ No Ads ❌ No SE0 ❌ No Waiting"
Now I might have been tempted to invest 5 minutes into finding out what it was all about.
Except for "394,356 Viewers" and "$778.11 Per Day".
These are totally invented figures. They scream "scam" to me and I just delete the email and move on.
Yet this was regarded as sophisticated advice not all that long ago (I might be exaggerating about it being last century).
What do you think?
Do those specific numbers make you want to click the link or delete the whole thing?

To cut a long story short...
It must have a very well kept secret because even the crabs didn't know about it.
It would make me want to delete the whole thing, Phil! In my opinion, there are no free rides!

Thank you for your blog post, I fully understand where you're coming from.
I started researching Internet marketing back in 2004, as I could see the huge potential and power of the Internet. With the old-fashioned dial-up, the Internet was almost impossible to use, but to me, having a broadband connection changed everything! It made the Internet usable!
I could see the potential of the Internet, but I just didn't know what to do. I have been guilty of buying into the schemes that you have been talking about. Thankfully, I am much wiser now, and I know the process of how to make money online.
That's such a classic headline for an Internet marketing product, but like you, I wouldn't even bother looking at it. Other headlines like "turnkey business" and "10 minutes a day" are all classic-type headlines!
So, in answer to your question, it would be delete and probably unsubscribe, depending on where the email came from!

Sorry Phil, I just noticed I made some word errors in the above comment, which I have just changed! I use Dragon to speak naturally, and sometimes, it interprets words wrongly! But it's my fault, as I should have checked it!
