First Day of Summer
First Day of Summer
Here in Australia, our summer starts on the first of December.
Which is tomorrow for me.
So our Christmas holidays, which is the major break for our school kids (10 weeks when I was at school; we thought they'd never end) is spent on barbecues and beaches.
Australia is, of course, a major tourist destination, especially for Northern Hemisphere inhabitants looking to escape Winter.
So we welcome tourists from the US, Canada, the UK, Japan, China and multiple European countries.
But the hardest thing for all of them to take on board is Christmas in the middle of Summer.
But as you'll see from the ChatGPT4-generated image above, even Santa seems to be getting into it!
And from this one generated by Adobe Firefly.
Early wishes to all my friends on WA for a great festive season.
But it's always a great time to reflect on your business goals and make definite and specific plans for the coming new year.

Have a great summer Phil 🙂. Here in Canada Winter starts on the 21st of December. Not a big fan of winter. I'm a few years away from retirement and planning on moving south every winter once I get there. Who knows I might end up in the Outback🙂
Lol 🤣 That's how much I know about Australia. I should study my geography before making any comments 😉
Season's Greetings. Phil.
Thanks for sharing your festive occasion, starting December 1st. Our main celebration is December 25th. The combination of a holiday and the beach is the best of both worlds. Doesn't get any better than that.
Christmas in the summer is pretty cool. The images are fabulous, too. Sounds like a great place for tourism. Looks like both Santas are having a great time.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!🏄🏿♂️
Rachele
Thanks, Rachele. Christmas Day is, of course, our big celebration too, along with Boxing Day and New Years Eve.
I thought everyone had Boxing Day. It's the day after Christmas, when everyone can relax and recover. There's some disagreement over the origin of the name, but the most common one is that it was when the servants gathered up all the boxes that the Christmas presents came in. British origin of course.
Having lived in Eastern New Mexico, as well as West Texas, we do experience extreme weather. The occasional summer day in winter that makes Christmas shorts and flip-flop weather with dinner prepared on the grill is my limit.
I do think it would make a difference in how you got ready for the day.
Kind of fun to consider the differences. Thanks, Phil, for sharing the post.
Sami
You're welcome, Sami. We are used to sunny, warm Christmases, of course. Especially where I live.

Have an excellent summer, Phil!
Christmas in the hot weather would not bother me, and I wouldn’t miss the snow. 😎
Nice images. I do really like the DALL-E 3 integration into ChatGPT4. It allows me to generate images in the appropriate sections during the content-writing process. They’re not always usable, but their quality is continuously improving.

Yes, it's really easy to use. Firefly brands your image with Adobe. You can remove it, of course, but that might be a grey area legally.
