Nice post, Phil. You have taken the ball and run with it (which is good in American football, but not so good in European!). But in this case, you have built your business around your niche and I hope you are able to live the "retired" life that you have dreamed of! Yes, as a senior myself, I'm grateful to have learned about affiliate marketing and have a mission to teach others just how easy it is to build a sustainable income. Sure, there are technicalities to be learned, but nothing that the average senior can't comprehend.
Keep on doing what you are doing. There are a lot of seniors in my area that are hurting. They are part of the reason I do this too.

Seniors nearing or already in retirement without the financial independence they expected seem to be a large and growing population everywhere, but particularly in the US. I believe that affiliate marketing is an ideal business model for them, and my aim is to show them just how it's done. Thanks for your encouragement.

But am all with you on this, it is a great way for a replacement to social security income.

I think most seniors no longer have the belief system that anything comes easy. I see my main task here as being to convince them that they have or can acquire the technical skills to build an affiliate marketing business for themselves. I believe that with Wealthy Affiliate's lesson structure, the help of the community here and with me as their sponsor and mentor, it's totally achievable.
They should just add one activity that charges the whole organism. Exercising early and late hours of the day supercharges the whole body and the brain gets enough supply to cope with the mental work.
This will help our seniors feel energetic and work longer on their sites.

That's great advice, Joseph. I'm a great believer in seniors continuing to exercise. Oxygenating the brain certainly helps with the mental work required to build an affiliate marketing website. Or indeed any online side hustle.

You are a great example for other seniors to follow.
I've taken a slightly different path. Though I started as strictly affiliate marketing, I've added a jewelry boutique to my website where I can sell pieces left over from 50 years of selling jewelry to online customers. It helps a great deal.
That's a great idea. Fran. E-commerce businesses can be very rewarding but harder to get going. That's why I always advise seniors to start with affiliate marketing. I'll spring e-commerce on them further down the track 😁.
