An Amazing Thing Happened On My Way to the Pity Party
There is a common bond between us all: this thing that commands our attention and pulls us away from our families and sometimes life in general ....this thing (please fill in your own adjectives) we call the Internet.
Here is it. Saturday. The weekend. The birds, for the first day, are singing their Midwestern wake-up song. The flowers are stretching from a winter blast and breaking the ground in the process. From where I sit, I can hear the occasional crack of the aluminum bat hitting the ball thrown by a fledgling, young picture at the little league ball field on the edge of the park that is just starting to burst with color.
And I'm stuck at the computer. The last campaign I launched isn't doing well and the self-imposed deadline of 5:00 for the next one has come and gone. It's the most beautiful day of 2014 and my figures are wrestling with a key pad, not a fishing line. My feet are on my footstool under my desk, not on the creek bank. Oh, the life of a start-up internet marketer.
But an amazing thing happened on my way to the pity party. I stopped by WA for a second and I saw some of the best blogs I'd seen in a while. They made me think, laugh and smile. I had a new "FOLLOW ME" request from a guy that I have so much in common with that I know we'd have a great time if we could talk outside this format and I sent him three messages! I had a "hi", and "thanks for the follow" and "keep up the good work" messages. Soon I found an uplift from the wonderful people that also call WA home.
I've read the comments from some here at WA about God and Higher Power. My belief in the Higher Power that I believe in, helps me understand that approximately 2000 years ago today, it was a very dark day for His followers. They didn't see hope. They didn't see a way out. Then, within a day, within a matter of hours, it all changed. Sorrow turned to joy.
Thanks WA for the uplifting talk. Your comments and your friendship got me through a day when I needed you, and you were there. Thanks Jesus, for showing the way.

What an awesome and uplifting blog Phil. Us entrepreneurs are always working and we hardly ever take a day off. When you are building a business you don't have time to take a day off.
I'm glad that we could be here for you when you needed us the most.

Great post and yes WA certainly embodies a great deal of the teachings found in the Bible. The greatest bond in the world is love and this is what is predominant in WA-a love that embodies helping, teaching and learning.
Phil,
Great Blog! We have to keep our priorities in order. God, family and then work. By the way just take your smartphone fishing with you and you can do WAU while you fish. Right? Thanks and just for information Trialynn and I are good WAU buddies. Larry
Yep. Keep it moving along.... Little bit at a time. If I hear one more person say, "Oh, you're working in that get rich quick area...I'm gonna rip their arm off and beat em with it. LOL. Not rich. Not quick. Just freedom and having intelligent, engaged people in a community.
Yep just know how you feel about finally a nice beautiful day and where are we...? Just trying to figure it all out....working on some content and then will make changes to the website....have to focus....
