Please make that training class you're thinking about
Don't worry if there is another class on it already
There is always room for more training even if the subject you’re considering making a training class on has been covered many times. I’ll tell you why I think you and everyone else eligible should do it.
You’ve heard sayings like: “You’ll hear it when you’re ready.” “Everybody learns differently.” “Some people need to hear it put several different ways before it sticks.”
I am often that last guy. Some things I learn come easy. This doesn’t. I am not a natural businessman at all. My brain doesn’t seem to want to work that way. I admire those that can. I am trying. Keep making that training even if there are 15 other trainings posted at WA on the very same topic. Do it for those guys like me who need it repeated and put in different ways. Thanks, Paul

Spot on, Paul. People do learn in different ways, and someone else's take on things sometimes is the break through we've been needed. Carol
Thanks, Carol. I'm reminded of a little boy my ex-wife tutored. He was failing in school and his family was stressed out over it. He belonged to a family of over-achievers.
My ex-found his unique way of learning by trial and error and it turned his whole world around. He had to draw pictures of what he was trying to understand until the picture made sense to him. Then he could talk about it or write about it just like all the other kids.
Wow that's wonderful. It reminded me of the kids that I had in my Read to Raven pet therapy program. They wouldn't read in front of humans because they got laughed at, but they would read to the dog.
My first little boy was about 6, and extremely hyperactive initially. He was reading way below his grade level, and his teacher told him he was "a terrible listener". His reading improved several grade levels by Christmas time, and his mother told me he was reading all the billboards to her.
As a 4th grader, he was chosen as a contestant in the county wide spelling bee. And the last time I saw him, he was in 5th grade and reading on an 8th grade level. His mother told me he reads the encyclopedia for fun.
You're right. Really miss being able to do that. Lost Raven in 2014, and Leia is too shy, nervous, and timid to pass the certification exam.
I agree... although the message or the training may be the same, the way it is delivered (or explained) can resonate with some and not others
You make an invaluable point Paul, there are often many ways to illustrate the same lesson.
Les
We agree completely, Paul. What we are doing here is not an exact science and there is every likelihood a person will learn something new from every version of the training that they read.
Colette and Philip
Hi Colette and Philip. Thanks, I liken this idea to the way I felt when I first decided to make a blog about writing I thought "there are already millions of sites about writing"
But there is only one site about writing that I write and you never know who will resonate with your way of putting things.
I like how you said that. Good point!
We learn, hear and understand differently.
Others will catch our attention and others won't.
Bring on the smorgasbord:)
Di :)
The best way to learn something, is to learn it well enough to teach it to others. Hey, and I am always thinking about teaching it so simply that a child can understand it.
That's because aren't we all basically children at heart?

Plus each writer sometimes share their own 'twist' on the subject letting you know why it worked for them (when the umpteenth others didn't work).
Well, put Paul. I love reading training blogs and a half I end up tagging for future reference

No two trainings from different sources will be the same ever.

Yes, that is how I look at it. Thanks
