YahooBing fetch
Hello guys and gals -
Today this is a quick one for getting indexed in Yahoo/Bing and making sure that you are getting your site crawled OK
If you are only registered on Google the I urge you to get registered with Yahoo/Bing and also Yandex as these are the three largest search engines. Now Yahoo and Bing are together due to a take over so it makes it easier http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster/
The first pic is a screenshot of my site showing the Bing webmaster tools -
Next thing to do is clicked the configure my site at the top left menu and a list of your URLs will appear as shown in the pic below
Next you need to click on the Submit URLs tab (two below) and this will open the submit page as shown in the pic below
The next step is to paste the URL that you want indexed into the Box as shown in the picture below. Please paste in the complete URL (or permalink) that you want to index
This is the same URL that I used yesterday in the Yandex explanation and after you have done this you press the Submit tab which is on the right and will turn orange when you click on.Then you will get the next page which is shown below and you will see that your URL is now in the top of all the URLs that have been submitted in the past and is waiting to be crawled
Well my friend that is it - Easy Peazy as they say and all good fun

Steve
I doubt it.............I bet a lot of people have a Paul folder ! You are too modest my friend !
You are bringing some exception value to the community Paul well done and thank you for sharing your knowledge.
This is another great showing of help, the only thing I seem to have an issue with is the fetch. It will not fetch all the content.
And as far as sitemaps, I thought we could only input one.
The main sitemap.xml for the main URL.
Is there another way?
Also, what could I be doing wrong regarding the fetch process?
The issue with the fetch to be a little bit more clear was with the Google fetch. It finds have of the pages but not all, I am inputting them in separately as shown.
Bing seems to work fine but has yet to be crawled, the site is only 2 weeks old though.
Hi Shane - you can only fetch one post or page at a time so they all have to be done separately,
The site map you only but in once but it automatically updates itself as you add your post and paged
Thank you,
I added the pages and post one at a time on bing and it worked fine however on Google it did not.
My site maps were already on both from me adding them a week ago but Google seems to be the one that doesn't fetch everything. Bing did and with Google being the leader of the pack it would most likely be best if I update Google.
Any reason why Google is a hard fetch?
You should convert this into a training, because that is precisely what this is. You have done a great job. The big advantage with having it as a training is that you get compensated for it if it is a training.
Thank you again Paul for this information. I always learn so much from you. :)
