Be Smart, Ask For Help
Most of the times, I would rather push through troubles on my own, instead of asking for help. As asking for help makes us feel vulnerable.
It probably goes back to how we were raised, if we were taught to be self-sufficient.
Society sees it as a sign of strength when a person has done it all on their own.
But wouldn't it be nice if we were not afraid to ask for help when we needed it.
If we were able to see knowing when to ask for help, not as a weakness but of strength as we were not meant to struggle on our own.
Be brave and ask for help.

Gee whiz Pat, you cover some topics. Always gets folks thinking and looking inside good stuff I think. I have always functioned by never asking for help, just part of my back ground I suppose. Lately I am changing my ways. It is good to ask for help, in a way it is a very giving thing if that makes sense.
Me too Alexander, as I have gotten older I am asking more questions and asking them sooner. As a child, afraid of being seen as silly when I ask questions so I didn't ask in class. I waited and asked the teacher after class.
Very good point. There's likely another person with the very same question at times. In some organizations, it's almost favoured to ask for help.
Wee think that we will look silly and so we put it off and put it off until we realize that we are procrastination too much and really need to get moving.
I have always been told to not ask questions is not a good thing to do! If you have tried to solve a problem and still cannot resolve it, then It is better to ask questions as hard as it might be.
We some times let our pride get in the way!! Lol
We sometimes feel we look silly by the questions we ask and put off asking the questions that would move us forward sooner.
Asking for help has been one of my biggest challenges that i've faced since starting WA. I much prefer to search for the answer myself. However, the more i've started asking questions the easier it has become. Practice makes perfect in this case.
Very true, Nichole. We tend to waste a lot of time instead of asking for help. I did anyways.
That's exactly why I do ask questions. I don't like having to ask I wish I knew enough to where I could answer questions instead of ask, but I also really hate to waste time even more than ask questions.
As I have gotten older Barbara, I am quicker to ask questions, because of that very reason, hate to waste time!
Yes, time is really important and there never seems to be enough of it. It's a luxury item!

I agree.. thanks! Too bad we don't see that as kids, we would practice it more.
