I'm moving!
Well, I found out tonight from GoDaddy that the hosting for my original site, www.pastortae.com, will expire on March 3. And after all the positive experiences I've had here at WA, there's no point in staying with GoDaddy. It's time to move!
Now, I've built 3 sites here and am working on a 4th, but the news of the pending expiration puts the original site on top of my priority list. I have to start the process of moving. As you know, there are so many things to do with a move. My original site contains most of my teachings over the past 15 years including writings, audios, counseling information, consulting information, etc.
(I also have a bunch videos of workshops posted on YouTube that must be organized). Moving all that is not going to be easy.
Not only this, that original site is a Dream Weaver site. To move it might mean rebuilding it as Word Press site. My goodness (!), just the thought of that is quite daunting.
I have posted 2 important questions on the WA site about domain name transfer and website transfer.

I would appreciate your advice on how to do that. Or you can post your response here under this blog. I am thanking you in advance for your kindness and support.
I contacted Kyle about the official word on how the move should work, but I have not heard from him yet. I will keep updating this blog or write below as answers come. (update: Kyle's response at the bottom)
And so, my guess is that that old site will remain up for another month and then taken down for repair and transfer.
Feel free to visit and download whatever you wish before it goes down for repair and move. Most of it is free.
That site has generated so many ministry opportunities and even good income. And now, I am looking forward to a new chapter here at WA with even more blessings from God, WA friends, and opportunities. Thanks for reading. Please visit.
And when you do visit, spare me the web building critique. I built that site with no knowledge of anything about 9 years ago. I know it looks like I built it in my garage with a sandwich in my hand and watching TV. Thanks for your understanding.
Hopefully, my learning experience with this can be a help to someone else in the future.
UPDATE: The move has finally happened and I wrote a blog about it and documented the steps on making the transition. CLICK: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/pastortae/blog/a-new-chapter-from-an-old-site-to-a-new-site

UPDATE: PROGRESS
* this update is for me. But if others will have to do this in the future, they can benefit from the documented steps.
1/8 I own both pastortae.com and pastortae.org. I attached the .org to the old site and extracted/transferred the .com to WA to build a wordpress site to it. There are 2 things I realized when I executed this: 1. I should not have done both of these transactions at the same time, because it creates a dead period where everything is shut down and waiting for propagation both at GoDaddy and WA. 2. This greatly impacts the emails. This means that all emails (about 8) associated with the .org and .com are all suspended until the propagation and transfer are over. This was really stupid on my part because all the facebook accounts, email correspondence, Amazon Associates and especially paypal are all connected to these emails. This waiting period could last for 24 hours within which a lot of emails might get lost. Very stupid of me. Now, I am waiting for propagation and transfer to be over and then I have to set up the new emails and forwarding here at WA. I hate this.
1/9 www.pastortae.com finally propagated and is now ready. All emails re-created and forwarded. Looks like it's all 8 are working. PayPal account adjusted according to new emails and password. And then all 4 sites required a paypal account adjustment. I also added a plugin called "TinyCoffee" which is a fun-creative way to seek donations.
1/9 The old site www.pastortae.org. Still waiting for propagation. Activated after 10 hours of waiting. And so, now the plan is to keep developing the new .COM site which the old .ORG site stays up until the expiration on March. 3.
1/9 Kyle's response:
Godaddy is the registrar, not us. So they will be where you register the domain. You will just have to make sure that you reorder it with them if you want to retain it. If you want to transfer your website over here, you will have to back up all of your content through FTP and then you will make the DNS transfer, then you will reupload it on our hosting. Just make sure you keep the domain over there, back up your content/files, and then you can get rid of the hosting and make the transfer.
