Your website needs to be ranked! how long until Google ranks a site?
I'm not sure of the exact time line. It really depends on the site, the keywords ect. I know the sites get indexed pretty quickly. I haven't even focused on ranking yet. I'm hoping it will just happen along the way as I build it. Google is constantly crawling sites at least weekly and with some SEO plugins you can get new pages indexed therefore ranked more quickly.

usually around the 20 quality posts mark. this is when you start to see things happen.
fetching your posts from Google webmaster tools does helps speed things up. so does sharing your content on social media.

I inserted a link to a page on my website. I then hit the view website tab and tested the link and it did send me to my profile! My concern is that I had full functional acces
You have access to your account because you are logged into WA. Someone clicking your link will not have access to your account, even if you link to your profile.
HI, if you wish to test your link, open up an incognito window if you are using Google, or sign out of your account and then try the link. If you were logged in, the link will simply take you to your own account.
