WordPress
I get a "throwaway" digital email every day, and have gotten this email for years. Sometimes, the information is a little out there, but every once in a while, the topic is fantastic.
On my 14 July 17 email, the topic was WordPress. WordPress was called "the Google of website building applications". The article stressed that WordPress was easy to use, and suggested that learning how to use WordPress could mean a "goldmine" as you could market yourself as a site builder after becoming proficient in WprdPress use.
The article recommended building a couple of sites before marketing your skills. The author mentioned that most websites included the same features such as a title, content, links, and pictures. As you learned more, other features would be used including social media plug-ins, and advertisements to name a couple.
WordPress was called "the number 1 website publishing platform".
The publication then advised the reader to advertise himself as a website builder once WordPress was mastered. The author recommended offering your services to small businessmen and businesses who might have an interest in having an internet presence. And let's face it, everyone is interested in having an internet presence these days.
This is yet another example of the value of WA in teaching us how to master a skill which can produce income.

This is so right on Pablo!
I was told not long after I started, that I know how to build a website from scratch and can use the new skill to make an income.
This post will open the eyes of others, making them aware that we all have this excellent skill :)
Pablo, for sure, the combo of tools like WordPress and the training here @ WA really creates great opportunity and high value.
A day doesn't go by when I share what we are doing here and the comment is always to the effect, "wow you did that, impressive", and I am a newbie, just getting started..
I think to your point of value and as suggested by other members, a niche opportunity really rings true.
Most of the small business owners that I know are consumed with taking care of the daily business demands the (mechanics, hair salons, decorating, food services businesses etc) - They need someone to take care of their online presence and are willing to pay someone to do it for them.
You bring up a valid point about the brick and mortar owner. I did not think of this when I wrote this. Thank you
I think that payment made to me for Wordpress is a result of WA training and exposure. Thank you, Accad
About 6 years ago when I was attending weekly BNI meetings as business owner of my then secretarial business, there was a member who had a web design company. I remember how surprised I was when I found she had upgraded her company's website using WordPress.
At that time, although I was doing affiliate marketing with my dog site using WordPress, I certainly didn't consider WordPress to be a major source. Obviously WordPress was becoming more predominant way back then.
And now it is possible for any one with some level of expertise to offer services as you mention in you post Pablo. As WA members we are most fortunate to learn and develop skills to a high level.
