Giving my websites time to mature
At first i was so eager to put my websites out there. I was watching my sites constantly, waiting for fans and comments and income...after being disappointed for the first two weeks and asking other WA members. I realized that this was not as easy as i thought it was. My intentions was never to just throw anything up and hope it works but the initial ad that I read made it seem that way. After no success, I took a couple of days off and put thought into the direction I was going to take my business. Little by little, I'm adding ideas, pages, posts, and my website layouts. I gained patience, in hopes that one day this wait and the money that i put into staying premium is worth it. I want my site to mature. I'm confident that the changes that I've made will lead me to well liked and trustworthy websites. I added Caldera forms to one of my sites to ask for questions, comments, and suggestions. I even added a form for sign ups. I hoping that this would be a step to interact with my followers. Let's see...patience is a virtue.

You seem to be doing great. Google likes when your site is up for a while then the site trust will improve and things will start falling into place.
So true. Google, Bing, and Yahoo do not like young pages. Once a page starts to age and mature if will get more notice and better rankings.
It is hard sometimes because you really need to keep adding good content to a web page even though you are not seeing any results or that many people finding it. A few months down the road, maybe three, maybe five, maybe nine... something will 'click' and all of a sudden you will see some of the hard work come back around.
One of the hardest things is putting up content that you know people are not seeing. But it will happen.
Love the post! I agree and I think that we have to spend time diligently crafting our websites. If we take our time to create something with a solid foundation instead of rushing, the money will flow in naturally. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, "Rome wasn't built in a day" :)

Yes, this is a mid to long term strategy, you have the potential to create an online business that could have the ability to pay you over and over for years to come - And Yes - it does take time.
Please keep at it, you never know when the day will be that you make that first commission!

You have the right mindset. If all we had to do was name a site and put up a couple pages with links and start cashing checks then EVERYone would have a website right? Keep creating good content and the traffic will come. Don't quit! I'm gonna leave you a couple training tutorials I think you'll like.

Great post. Yes I believe you must give the pages time to mature so Google can start trusting your pages and then start ranking them higher.
Keep up the good work you are doing and you will be rewarded.
