Why Do People Ask For Opinions They Dont Want?

Just thought I'd write a short post here concerning the Wealthy Affiliate Comments section, as i recently had a few comments disapproved.

It seems like I have commented on a Site post that asked for my opinion. However, when I gave it, they disapproved it. Fair enough, if people dont want to hear your opinion on something, then dont ask it!

Especially if you are going to ask an opinion on a religios post, then you should be willing to accept it whatever it is.Otherwise dontb ask for it. You cant just go around asking opinions but only the ones that you agree with.

So unfortunately, i shall probably get black marks against me due to the dissaproval of comments. Yet, I would also get penalised if I skip that post.

I DONT LIKE RELIGION! But i'm not about to go into the whys here. Afterall, people are entitled to believe in what they want. But if you ask my opinion, I will give it. I'm not going to lie and say I like something when i dont.

All i'm saying is that there are many like me too. If you ask my opinion, I'm not going to be insulting to you, but I will in the nicest way possible give you my opion JUST LIKE YOU ASKED.

So please, If you dont like the answer - Dont ask the question. At least Untick the 'My Opinion' option in the box when you are requesting comments

Thank You!

Kev!

Hi - you don't have to hit the skip/ignore button if you are presented with a post you are not interested in. Simply come off the Site Comments page, and the next time you go to it, that website will have gone. Doing that won't affect your skip rate.

I understand what you are saying, but you have to remember that you are supposed to be commenting as if you were a genuine visitor who had been reading that site.

If you weren't interested in religion, you wouldn't have visited that site "in the real world" in the first place - that's why it would look odd if you disagreed with what they were talking about. There would have been no reason for you to be on that site, so your comment wouldn't look "real".

Good points that you make, Kev!

We try to give positive feedback wherever we can. If this post doesn't appeal to you , then just skip it. Having valid and encouraging oppinions is much more fruitful. Sorry you encountered this 🙂

Yea, skip it and get a black mark against you for that too? So, either way, unless you give them the opinion they want, then your account suffers. I also try to leave positive comments. In fact I always do. But I'm not about to lie about my opinion on something, especally if Its something I feel strongly about myself. Now, I've just read THEIR opinion in full and only gave mine because they Asked for my opinion on the Topic. Hmm, One rule for one but a different rule for the other.
Typical Bible bashers that is. Want to put their opinion on others but cant accept anyone else's. That's fine. But they shouldn't ask what they don't want to hear.
Either that, or WA change how you're penalised. Usually I would just skip something like this. But when you do, your skip rate goes down and that's bad for your account health. So why should others be penalised just because they cant handle the answer to the question they asked.

Also, Just to be clear. It wasn't even a 'Negative' comment. Nor was it rude, insulting or obnoxious. It obviously just didn't tie in with what they wanted.
My Point is, people should not ask Opinions unless they are willing to accept them. It's easy enough not to check that box, but I don't see any options that say 'Opinions that Agree'

Whoops 🤷‍♀️ have a good Sunday 👍
