That WordPress 3.9 thingy in practice

Further to a previous blog, I am getting on quite well in practice with this edition and I was wondering how others are doing...?

Whilst TinyMCE advanced worked on another site, it has not done so on the one I am presently updating. I uninstalled, deleted files and and reinstalled, and I could not make it go live. I junked it, and am now using WP Edit, which is fine and funky. I only have a limited amount of time I am willing to invest in square pegs and round holes.

Dragging and dropping an image is a joy, and although it is early days, a left aligned image has played nice with an H1 tag paragraph "wrapping nicely" and that with a caption too- good stuff for sure.

The next image I went for was from the media library option and went in right aligned a treat and text again wrapped a treat- I am beginning to like this more and more

Just to prove that WP has a resident gremlin community, when I highlighted 3 paragraphs and bullet listed them, the bullet points took but the font defaulted to standard size and I had to redo this aspect...hardly a chore, but worth a chuckle...Similarly when bolding text this resized in the editor to the default, but shows at normal size when published. Go figure. I might be interested in knowing why, but I doubt it. Yawn..

Emboldened, I went for the hat trick, and centre (or if you prefer center) alignment, all good, but no wrapping of text as per usual, so I used the drag handles to make it bigger..sweet! The caption area moved nicely with it too..and appeared to change proportionately as well.

Next time I will do video and audio to see how well they go, but I am expecting pretty much the same story...
