First Launch

Hi guys, so I've been busy working on a few fat loss products for a while and had a few issues along the way, including being scammed by a "top internet marketer" who promised me the world but delivered not much.
It was after cutting ties with this scammer I decided to go out on my own and try and figure it all out for myself. From video editing, to auto-responders, to upsell flows, through to Facebook marketing. I've pretty much learned everything along the way - which are quite simple when you know what you're doing but before that, not so much...
Anyways, the time has finally come and I have just taken the site live and everything has gone off without a hitch...I've even made a few hundred in sales. Hooray!!!
My plan is to keep the site live till the end of the week then take it down for 2 weeks with an Official Launch countdown. The theory being that I can iron out any issues before I drive a large amount of traffic there.
My questions to you as a group are two fold
1. This is my first real site selling digital products, so any feedback on the site or pointers you think would help conversions would be great
2. Have any of you had any experience launching? and what platforms/sites did you launch through?

The site is www.leanbodylaunchpad.com - I would really appreciate the feedback as I trust the experience on here and want to make this a success :)

Thanks for all the advice guys.
I now have a new server - much faster.
I have also made changes to website after taking into account the advice on here, feedback from users and also my google analytics.
Pretty pumped for Monday (launch day) as all the signs are looking great.
Got social media pumping, email pumping and have promoted it in every space I could think of - excited!!!
If you haven't already, then jump on board at www.leanbodylaunchpad.com/affiliate-launch
I have created a bunch of swipes and also have some free tools and info for affiliates to give away which I'll be distributing during launch.

I would underline the hyperlink in blue to indicate it is a click-able link. I didn't know it was a link until I hovered over it. This is considered good practice and for accessibility reasons.

I don't like how your video opens up in a new page, it seems rather slow (is this on shared hosting?). Also, there is now way to buy right away from that page. I think the content within the video is pretty good, however I think if you personally shot the video of you it might be a little more personal and effective. I like the testimonial aspect.

For a product to be successful, you are going to need to attract people to promote it and you will do this by offering good affiliate training (you can leverage the community here at WA to get people trained, thus increasing your business...also it is a way for all of your affiliates to get a website).

Besides that, the content isn't too bad, I just found the loading time between pages really frustrating as a visitor.

I'm actually really frustrated with the loading time also but am unsure what to do? I have an unlimited hosting plan with unlimited band width. So I'm unsure if I just have a bad hosting company (Crazy Domains - i think in australia). Do you know of any quicker ones?
Yes I have run the video through my Dropbox - i actually did this cause I thought the video may be slowing down the site???
My plan is to have an affiliate launch - starting 24th March. I really want to recruit as many affiliates as I can over the next 2 weeks. Because I am having a Launch Competition I need all affiliates to Opt In to my JV list. I will then be giving them info and strategies to increase their sales - and yes I had planned on promoting WA to this list. I already have a bunch of people who want to promote but have never even heard of online marketing so WA will be a great place for them to start, along with an added extra for the old hands :)

You can host your websites here, it will load quicker than this. But at some point as a product owner, you may want to move to your own server at some point (to maximize efficiency).

This would require the transfer of all files, but I think that moving off of your existing host would be a good move because your load times are not only going to lose you customers, it is going to lose your visitors.

You should also not host your video on your site, you should use Youtube or Vimeo...there is no benefit to hosting your own videos on your server (this will only slow down your site)...and you could get extra traffic as a result of having your video on YT or vimeo.

I would add that these sites are dedicated servers for videos. They optimize their sites for this usage. Shared hosting is basically on a shared server. All the customers on your web host are sharing or using each others' bandwidth. Therefore, videos tend to weigh down the server load. Anyway, I thought I'd elaborate on what Rich said. :)

You have some nice lists, these might even get some sales. I would put some good information there to help your customers make a well informed decision. Sample workouts. Things to try before you buy. Once you have them playing with your system then send them to the sales funnel. Have your main page as a target for the rest of your pages. When you have piqued their interest then allow them to see this sales page. Don't put it in their face until you have them warmed up.
Your sales will skyrocket and your customers will love you for it.

As for taking a site down. NO, NO, NO. Get good content, build your clientelle. The pre-launch build up scenario smells of scammer.

Thanks very much for taking time out to check it out. I do like your suggestion to have a little more info before the sales button. So I will probably remove the first "buy now" button and let them read through more material to get them a little more excited.
I do have a free 7 day ecourse, so people can get the samples there and they are sent back to the page in this.
As for the pre-launch, I do understand what you are saying but seeing as this is my first proper site this one of things I will be testing. I have a strategy for the official launch and would like to see how it goes in comparison to the soft launch to my own list (which is this current week). This is all new and I really want to test as many strategies as I can to see what works and what doesn't for the future.
Thanks again for your feedback

You had some sales already so with a little tweak here and there and testing you should be able to ramp that up!

Hi Nick,
Unfortunately I agree with Hudson, your home page reminds me of sales capture pages sent to me though emails from so called Guru's and that alone would stop me pushing the button! Overall when you get passed that your site is awesome, well done you!

Thanks very much for your feedback. I will take everyones comments on board and keep tweaking the site to get the conversions up.
Its all new to me so this will be a pretty steep learning curve but one Im willing to work on and take advice to help me through. So thanks

Hi Nick, had a look at the site and it looks okay. This is going to sound harsh but please take it the right way - reading down the site I felt I was reading a scam site offering me everything for nothing. This I think is because you have the large blue banner with the red arrows and I have seen these on those type of sites, plus the wait banner which is typical of scam sites. Sorry but this was my reaction. From the content your site is very professional so maybe you might want to re consider the banners ( or maybe not).
Regards
Hudson.

Thanks very much Hudson. I appreciate your honesty. Thats something I will definitely take on board. I think I will be removing the first "buy now" button on the home page and let people get through a little more content before pushing it in their face (as labman suggested).
And I totally agree with the Yellow highlighting, I really wanted it to stand out so that people could see the information below to let them know that I have put a lot of work into the products and they are getting great value for money. But I see that the yellow banner does kind of resemble a few dodgy sites out there and looks a little cheap. Thats not what I want, so I will try a little softer approach.
I want to learn as much as I can and any advice is really great. Cause now that the site is up I can keep tweaking it and testing it to see what works best - but I won't know what to tweak without some outside help, so thanks again
