Quote of the Day:

“The one who plants trees, knowing that he will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life.” Rabindranath Tagore

Meaning of the Quote:

Life is a journey that we are all on. There is a beginning and an end. The time between the beginning and the end of our lives is where we get to understand the meaning of life.

Discussion of the Quote:

Indeed, it is important to understand the meaning and cycle of life. When you do, you will appreciate and respect the planet on which you live and what it provides for you to live comfortably on it. All you are asked in return is to take care of it while you are here.

The meaning of life is to live life to the fullest and become the best versions of yourself. When you do that, you will plant trees although you will never sit in their shade. Instead, you want to leave the world a better place than when you entered it so that life can be a little better for the next generation. You know that you would never enjoy the benefits of our labor but you do it anyway because you want to pass on something good to others.

Final Thoughts:

When you come to the full understanding of life, you will live your life with grace, dignity and gratitude. Therefore, you will be willing to do good not only for yourself but also for others because you understand the saying that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Consequently, when you depart this life, you will make sure to leave it in a better position than when you entered it so that the future generation can enjoy the fruits of your labor way into the future.

I appreciate your time, comments and likes.

To our success

Kind regards,

Nichola

Nicholas, this is a very important message! many people believe that they show live in the 'now' without any concerns for the future. They think that they are the only ones that should reap what they have sown.

When we believe in selfish and not selfless, we do not leave very much room for the future. Believing that we are not obligated to make things easier for those that follow.

There is a great demand to change this perception, If not, this world is doomed and destined to leave many lacking all that which they need to survive.

I'm a firm believer in karma. For some people, the way to explain this idea is "You reap what you sow."

Thus, I feel it's important to do good so that you get good back. This isn't being selfish; it's spreading good around to others, too! To me, this is an important factor in living life.

Thank you for the food for thought, Nichola!

Hi, Nichola.
Long time.

From my MeWe account:

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered
“Man.”

Man is and always will be surprising because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.

Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.

And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;

The result is that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.

Thank you for your post.

It is nice to hear from you after all these years.

I trust that all is well.

Paul from Canada.

Ooh, the meaning of life Nichola.. I can't disagree with what you have said my friend... but how did Monty Python put it..

"Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."

Enjoy a fabulous weekend!!
