Do Our Dark Days Make Us Strong?
Quote of the Day:
βMy dark days made me strong. Or maybe I already was strong, and they made me prove it.β Emery Lord
Meaning of the Quote:
When we are faced with challenges in life, it is in those moments that we know our strength and it also when they are put to the test.
Discussion of the Quote:
When we encounter difficult situations, we think that we do not have what it takes to get through them. But, what we realize is that we already have what it takes to get through them; we only have to apply what we already possess to get through those times.
Additionally, we do not just develop our strength during our dark days. We were already strong but we never had an opportunity before to test our strength. It will now be tested by our dark days and what we come to realize is that we had already developed that strength. It is now being tested and we get to acknowledge the level of strength that we possess and most of the time we are surprised by the level of strength that lies within us.
Final Thoughts:
Without our dark days, we will never know our strength. Although the dark days are most of the time the most difficult, it is during our dark days that we discover our true strength which is what helps us to get through our dark days. βAs thy days, so shall thy strength be;ββDeuteronomy 33:25

One of my darkest times was the amputation of over half of my right foot about 8 years ago.
That has made me a better man!
I hope you have a Great Sunday too!
