Success in 2021? - Try the P.U.S.H approach

Has anyone ever felt sometimes as if they are in a hole? And the more that they try to dig to be able to get out, the more dirt and other rubble, fall on them?

Well, my mind has been in a hole for the last 2 weeks. You can say I'm a bit of an expert because I've been in this position more than one times too many! I just had to follow suit and repeat the actions that got me out in the previous times before. Even though a metaphor hole is not new to me, every time it seems to get deeper and deeper and harder and harder to push my way out.

Factors that are Responsible

In my mind, I am sitting in this hole and trying to make my way out and because of all the rubble around that keep falling on me, I become tired and distracted.. Some factors that are responsible for this are:

  • The constant noise when the kids come from school and they all want to tell about their day
  • Mild disagreements among the younger and older children
  • Small day to day setbacks when things haven't started out as I've planned

The main one for me guys is my mom's deteriorating health. I know that I am unable to do anything but I still feel so guilty and it absolutely breaks my heart especially as I am in the medical field but I am unable to save her. It is at the forefront of my mind every single day. I have to be strong for my siblings and for my children and also for myself during this painful time. Even though this is super hard for me, I have to P.U.S.H to remain focus 10 times as before.

P.U.S.H to remain focus!

Sometimes things are not as you want them to be and many things serves as a distraction to prevent you from going forward. Everyone has their own method of dealing with setbacks or anything that is seen as negative. Trying to be busy is just my way of coping and dealing with any setbacks

This is how I do it

P.U.S.H.

P- planning way ahead

U- understanding my previous ways of weaknesses, triggers and setbacks

S- search for any form of assistance e.g. other form of success, own past blogs, any previous words of encouragement or upliftment

H- hold on to any previous help that works or new thing that you can hold in view

Wealthy Affiliate Community

The WA community has now been added to my method of coping. You are an integral part of my coping mechanism. I use the OEC training and added bonus of reading other members' blog and giving comments and support whenever necessary, and the gem Jaaxy to get inspiration words and ideas so that I can plan way ahead for my articles on my website

Self reflection is the only way that I track my life and progress throughout. Key factors of what worked well, what was a disaster and what I do need to do to have a break through are done daily through either my visual mind maps or notes. I have always done this since I've started at Wealthy Affiliates

I am so addicted to visiting this website to read uplifted post and success such as Hilde, Yvonne, Lisa and of course Cassi to just name a few. This fulfill my search for assistance to lift me through those dark moments. And my two websites now that I am working on( the last was indexed by Google today), are the things that I hold in my view to stop and prevent myself from crumbling!

I think many of us have a point in our lives where this is the case. It feels overwhelming and you don't even know how you'll make it to the next day. I remember being sleep deprived as well. These are the times where the best lessons are learned to make you the woman you are to become. So, hang in there. It will get better.

Enjoy alone time everyday, meditate and breathe for 15 minutes.

Hi Simone, great read as usual; the fact that you are able to write and express how you feel at times, is a great sign that you're strong and refuse to succumb to the hole. Just writing about it is a great relief and good therapy; hope it helped you to feel better also. Sometimes when we're down is when the magic happens and our best work comes forward.

I find that adding a few moments daily to practice a little mediation just by being quiet helps, and yoga although I haven't done it for a while.

P.U.S.H...excellent, you got it covered, I will definitely try the PUSH technique, thanks for the tips.

Hi Simone,

Any type of hole is a hard thing to overcome, I am glad to see that you have devised a game plan against the stressors of life, to prevent it from happening to you again. Regardless, if you fall into another hole, the next time you have the solution to get back out of it and continue on with your life.

I hope that you never have to use your plan to get out of a hole, but it is always nice to have a plan when the unexpected happens.

Have you thought about creating a happy place in your head? If you feel that the black hole that is pushing you down is on you. It may sound funny, but believe me, it helps. Imagine that there is always beautiful weather in your head and all your loved ones are healthy, and you are happy. Usually, 10 minutes in the morning will help change your whole day.
