Learning by Falling
When I was a kid, my dad used to tell me, "for you to learn how to ride a bike, you should fall first.", he was right.
I'm no longer into biking . I signed up with WA less than a month ago, so I am into Internet marketing/online business now. Like all newbies,I started with the tutorials, thought of a niche, registered a domain name, built a website and prepared web contents.
I figured that while I was building my site, I would try applying to become an affiliate for a product which perfectly matched my niche. The day before yesterday, I got an email saying that my application was denied, adding that there are so many reasons why applications are being denied, without indicating the specific reason why mine was denied.
This is a setback for sure, but will this discourage me? Of course not. Had I stopped biking after my first fall, I wouldn't have learned how to bike.

I also applied for an affiliate program and waiting to hear back. No loss if I am not accepted I will take down the site and other social media and continue on with my promotion of WA. Thank you for sharing. Debbie
I've been accepted to every program I applied for, and don't think my website is that professional, (or big gun,....yet)., but I suggest maybe you ask why??? I think it's best to know, so you can remedy the situation
Thanks for your comment Debbie. I've also been wanting to promote WA, but I figured that I have to prove first to myself that it is working for me, so that I'd be more credible. Take care.
Hi Gordi. It's good to know that you've been accepted to every program that you applied for. I'm still waiting to hear the reason, but I don't think that it has something to do with my website because when I first applied, I didn't give them my website yet.
I am still waiting for their answer to my application..fingers crossed....but.....no...i wont give up if the answer is NO :)
Have you thought of contacting the company to ask what the reason is, and what you need to do to get approved.
I've had a number of questions I asked Amazon, as well as a few emails and they were amazingly helpful. My emails were answered within one hour.
I haven't actually, but that's a good suggestion Gordi, and I'm going to try that. Thanks a lot.
I can't see your domain name, but sometimes vendors like to view your website before giving their approval to you. If you already have a couple of products being promoted on your site, they can knock back a request for that reason too. Sometimes they only like to let the big guns affiliate for them, as they already have an established ranking and content rich site. More money for them? You'd think they'd be grateful that you thought of them.
When we are starting out, there are always hiccups. It is one's faith in oneself and the ability to go around/move on from such annoyances that will lead to success. You sound like you are going to be a success, Narciso.

Hi Narcisco,
I haven't applied for affiliate yet as not yet at that point in my WA training but I would go to Amazon.com and at the bottom of the page you can sign up as an affiliate.
Thanks Nancy, I will check that out. Cheers.
