First Blog Post - My Story And How Far I've Come
Hi everyone, this is my first blog post here on Wealthy Affiliate. I've been a premium member for 3 months now and counting! I'm sure a lot of you, like myself resarched WA before you joined. It's hard to tell what's real now days, am I right?
I started my website, didn't exactly find the name I wanted but I've grown into loving this one. When I first joined I had no idea what I was doing, I took a small programming class in high school but that was it. I know the basic ways around a computer, so a lot of this was new to me.
Took me a couple weeks to get the hang of Wordpress and adding the right plugins, I'm still learning something new each day. After several trial and errors with some frustration, I finally got the simplistic, beautiful website format I wanted. Custom made a logo for $20, set everything up and got to work on my content.
I'm not a writer, never saw myself as one. I grew bored with taking english classes in high school, or maybe just the education system. Told myself I'm not going to college, not a fan of spending money I don't have. Hey, the internet is free, use it to your advantage. Extreme amounts of infortmation is online now days.
This training has showed me a lot, I've set up my website and currnetly have 6 posts! It's been a struggle lately, as I've switched jobs and looking for a second to support myself. I know there is something here with and I'm not gonna stop until I find it! I've collect 33 clicks so far to my affiliate links on amazon, no sales yet but thats okay.
My niche is everything gadgets! I collect certain ones I think are really cool in a perticular catagory then share them on my website and write what they're about. My idea is writing with hints of comedy, I'm testing different methods. I'm still trying to figure out my audience.
I'm very proud that I have 33 clicks on Amazon and it's always exiting to see more come up! I've spent several hours and days with these posts, keeping it quality but coming up with better ways to produce them faster.\
My goal in the next 3 months: I'm seeing all these people with +500 clicks a day, that'll be my goal and to continue to learn new ideas, new strategies for the biggest audience!
My goal in the next 6 months: I want to literally become a fluent affiliate! I'm going to never give up, I'm always gonna give it my all, I can't stand working hourly jobs, day by day. I want to work for myself!! By 6 months I want to start making 1k monthly, that may sound like a stretch but I'm shooting for it with all I got!
I am 20 years old. Learned years ago nothing in life is free. We all make choices and life is never going to be fair. Trust me, I grew up in an extremely dysfunctional family, both of my parents taught me what not to do. Success comes with hardwork and I'm never gonna give up until I find it.

Great job so far! I admire your determination. When you have to support yourself, it can be hard to make time for doing this, but give it your all and I am sure you will succeed!
My best to you!
Karin
Thank you! Ever since I found WA, I've had more energy for my website than for any hourly job I've ever worked!
You are very inspiring. You may only be 20 (wow, wish we could have started online then), but you have a maturity and sense of purpose we never had at your age.
Great post, Nate, and we wish you every success. You certainly have the motivation and of course, you have the right tools here at WA. Interesting niche idea. And hey, you are a good writer, too! Very engaging.
You are already on your way. We are following you now.
Hi, nice blog. I write a lot, too, and I had a hard time adjusting to all the information. I wish you all the best, I've got a few links to Amazon as well, and eventually it'll all come together, as it seems to for people who stick with it. Good luck!
Yeah, when I joined WA, I got that overload of information and nothing made sense. It's slowing mending together. Thanks Mj, wish you all the best.
