The Path.
Building a business is a journey. The journey can take you in different directions. Staying focused is always a challenge. Sometimes taking a different direction is a good thing. Finding WA was a very good change in direction.
I started affiliate marketing a long time ago. I always thought it was a way to better my life and the lives of my family. I thought why not do drop shipping? Little did I know this was not as easy as I thought. So, I bought a domain: myclockstop.com. I was going to sell clocks! I sold 1 clock and my whole world caved in. The company that I hired took me for thousands of dollars. The Tax people said I owed them a lot of money. I gave up! The domain disappeared and I went on with my life. (After 18 years that crooked company called me last week, "Oh we still have your domain. What do you want to do?" I have not decided yet.}
Last April, during COVID, I decided to start a new company. This company would be an Internet Marketing Company. This is a good thing. I started a new journey. I paid a lot of money and joined a program. I also bought too many "tools" to help me on my way. This was a learning experience. I really learned that I did not have enough money to take this path.
So I took another path. This too was great. I learned much. But I came to the same place. I didn't have enough money. I didn't really stop. I just got stagnant. I tried this and that but no progress was acheived.
Then Wealthy Affiliate showed up on my path. If you look at the picture at the top, my original path is on the right. It is old, broken, and not very clear. The path to the left was the start of my journey with WA. Notice how it is more clear and defined. Notice too that it is traveling in the same direction. I am still moving forward.
In the other programs I had support. But it was not support like WA. We are a family here. WA is not dependent on me to make money. I can make them money. But my membership here is not judged by this action.
This post was supposed to be about my progress here. I kind of took a different path for a moment. I currently have 3 websites here. One is growing very quickly. It is Google ranked and growing. The other 2 are still hatching. I am very happy with my progress and this new path I have chosen!
I am also supposed to talk about goals. I have a new goal... to start generating sales to start the cash flow. This will be a good start to the latest part of my journey.
It is necessary to remain focused on your path. But sometimes a new path is a great thing.

Very true words here, Micheal! Good on you for going forward! Another piece of friendly advice is the "E" in your title is missing. You can easily scroll up to the top left gear wheel, click on it, then click edit, fix the problem then go down to the lower RH side and hit publish again--problem fixed. Just make sure that you do not accidentally hit delete post, because you won't be able to recover that. I have done this on occasion when other members have pointed out to me that I had a misspelling in either the title or some where else!

Very interesting and inspiring post , it show that determination perseverance and focus pays off. if you had given up in the beginning you would not have found WA.
