How To Accept International Payments
Hello... I've been here for a year (and some), and I'd like you to know that I really appreciate the opportunity for all the things that I've learned so far.
About affiliate marketing, the business has been slow (I've earned some with Amazon and ShareASale) but it is because this is a second job to me and at the beginning, it was hard to make the time to write.
Know it's been different. Amazon Affiliate program brought me just a few bucks, as same as Google AdSense. But I've tried some other things. For example, Fiverr which brings me about $200/month (not but huh!).
Also, with the skills that I've learned here, I have a couple of customers for about another $200/month... Of course, those require my time, but it is a way that I can pay to stay here at WA.
I mean WA teach a lot of more things that just affiliate marketing.
One of the issues that I found in my journey is: How To Accept International Payments?
I began by using PayPal, but I found out another and better program in my case. It is Payoneer.
I decided to share this because I know there are many people here from different countries.
Payoneer allows me to withdraw my Amazon Affiliate money, every $10 instead of $100 check, and in a couple of days instead of weeks. I can also get money from Fiverr in 1 or 3 days and I can charge my customer and they can pay me by ACH transaction or by Credit Card and get the money within a week.
I can use my money here in Costa Rica using a MasterCard or by my local account. With better fees and rates than PayPal.

The intention here is to show you, that you can access your money using different methods, even if you are not from USA. Of course, it also work for US Citizens with a bank account.
To me, that I'm from Costa Rica and I'm not a US Citizen, has been great to have my money quick and easy this way.
By now, I'm still trying to grow my affiliate sites and making some money on the Internet... after all, money is money, it doesn't matter where it comes from (legally and ethically of course).

Hello, thanks for your post. I am non USA resident as well and it's good to know about other options than PayPal. Can you tell me more about Fiverr please and in which way you manage to get paid by them. Thank you
Sure... Fiverr is a complete platform where you interchange services, initially for just $5... you may think, $5? Really? Yes...
Let's see this example, you can write a 300-word an article for $5. People pay your service, you deliver the article and when they receive it you get paid $4 (20% commission for Fiverr)...
But, it can be cross-selling and upsellings. You may offer $5 for a basic Gig, but, increase 600-words to the article for $10 more, add two pictures ($10 more), deliver in just one day $5... verify SEO $10 and help people to upload them to their WordPress website $5 more... then you sold $45... and, please tell me that you can do all of that in less than an hour? ...
If you have other skills you can offer there, like design a logo, write a speech, draw a cartoon, make a video, manage social media for some one... etc.
I have a returning customer that bought me 30 - $15 Gigs so far... and a guy who paid me $60 for a custom offer...

With images and an example from mine Fiverr a couple of months ago.
All the money you receive stays in the platform until you ask for it, and then, you can send it to PayPal (which is 3.5% and $0.5 fee), or send it to Payoneer for $1.
Sounds nice? The think is Fiverr gets 20% of your sales, remember. It can seem a high commission but people look for your Gigs, it's different to Freelancer or Upwork where you have to compete with lots of people... and Fiverr helps you to be shown once in a while... depending on your sales, you gain levels and with that, exposure.

If I use Payoneer, can I get my Amazon payments directly in my bank account? I want to avoid checks because I must pay a lot to the bank to have the money in the account. if yes, how much do they charge?
Hi, yes you can receive them. For example, I earned like $40 and they won't send me a check unit I get $100, but with this ACH transfer I just need a $10 balance for that to happen.
Once Amazon send the money to my account, I have to options, transfer locally or use the Prepaid MasterCard.
In my particular case they charge me a 2% fee, but they claim it depends on your country.
From their website:
"Payoneer's Bank Transfer Service allows you to receive payments in your local currency from participating partner programs directly to your bank account in over 210 countries. To find out the relevant fees for your country and currency, please Contact Us." ... The Contact Us is a link, but you can navigate through their website, they have a pretty good Customer Support in my opinion, different languages and the usually answer within 24 hours.
Also: "Please note: Payoneer has no control over additional fees that may be charged by your local bank."
As I told you in my case, an international check sent by mail can take 2-3 weeks, my local bank charge $10 as a fee for certain amounts (sometimes more) and it gets into an international process that can take 2-3 weeks more...
That's why I use the MasterCard.
But, I encourage you to ask them so you can evaluate if it is good for you.

Hi Marco, I have now read all the stuff and left you a comment. I am surely going to use this system. Not completely clear about this what you call 'local' payment, to my bank. Namely, I do not need MasterCard in principle because this also costs, but as you say, this is normal, every bank charges you such benefit.
Did you use the first option, transfer to the bank?
Note: giving link the way you did here is against the rules and you know this, so you may get into trouble. Nevertheless I find this info useful because I have been looking for the way to avoid Amazon checks.

Thanks... I saw the comment... I left the link to my website... I'm not trying to promote anything or earning anything... It's just because I know, that we, as affiliate marketers, and so many people are scratching and trying to earn some money and save some, I thought this could be useful.
