Here's my plan to get back on my feet again
I had a decent mini pc website, but google had ignored it. So I decided to try adding a new subniche (raspberry pis, little tiny computers). And my site took off. I went from $30/mo to almost $300.
Then I caught a company's attention. Got a short term contract to do sponsored post.
So I added another subniche and even made a few sales...
Either I screwed up, or Bing just decided to do an "HCU" on me. My traffic on Bing literally disappeared, which drove me back to around $30/mo and I put my contract update on pause.
I am creating three new websites now:
- use a tool to rewrite each of the existing posts
- use the hub and other tools to generate up to 1000 ideas for new posts.
- Come up with a social media plan
- let 'er rip!
I am trying that with the first site. If that works, I go on to the second, I will decide whether or not I have the bandwidth right now to do anything with the third...
So far I have the first site built but in maintenance mode. I am just starting to figure out how to write the posts. Will experiment for the next week or so, while I create new social media sites...
Onward!

Certainly sounds like a solid plan Michael, and knowing you.... it will all work out well my friend! :-)
You sound like you have it all worked out - and it'll most likely soon take off again.
It's a rollercoaster ride for sure. One day you're up and the next two you're down, then up again. Operating an o line business is like investing in the stock market. You gotta ride the way for the long term. And sometimes changing the investments is a good idea.
I look at this as an opportunity to step back and try something different. I made more on my contract than I expected to make the whole year. So if it takes mẹ 2-3 months to figure it out that’s fine. Meantime my site is almost ready after 3 days and I am starting to test pushing posts to the site
Wow, Michael—what a journey! Thank you for sharing it so transparently.
It’s encouraging to see how your decision to pivot (adding the Raspberry Pi subniche) brought such strong momentum. $30 to $300 and a sponsored post opportunity? That’s no small win!
I feel you on the sudden Bing drop. Those algorithm shifts can be so discouraging, especially when it feels like we’re doing everything right. But I love your resilience and the way you're bouncing back with a clear, actionable plan.
Looking forward to seeing your progress. Keep going, Michael—onward, indeed.

Adapting and building sub niches is a great way to move forward.
Congratulations

All about learning, benefiting from what we’ve done and improving on it as we go
The multiple sub niches, possibly confused the search engine and I may have made a small mistake at some point that caused it to crash
I am rebuilding the sites from the bottom up and profiting from everything I’ve done for the last few years
